If you had to give up one of your 5 senses, which would you choose?

I always thank God for giving me a complete set of senses. I guess it would really be sad to lose one of your senses. But if I had to choose which sense to get rid off, I guess it would have to be olfactory or the sense of smell. Though I can't smell sweet or delightful scents anymore, it would also be good not to smell those foul and stinky smell again. How about you? Which would you choose? Happy mylotting!

of course we all dread to lose any one of our senses, and no matter how we choose as wisely as we would like to be, the effects may not be seen in an instant. i will also choose my sense of smell but i definitely know that there will come a time that i'll lose my health for i'll also lose my appetite because i won't be able to smell the food. i don't know much more but i know that we are not designed to live a healthy life if we lose even one of our senses.

well, that won't a very good life for me definitely because i love eating, not just eating, but tasting the littlest taste from the food. that's why i love the movie "ratatouile", have you seen that. it will teach you how to really get the best out of food.

That's a difficult decision ! Out of the 5 - see, hear, taste, smell and touch ?
I'd agree with you - the sense of smell! I can't imagine not seeing and hearing, when I love reading & watching TV. And I love to eat - so imagine eating and can't taste the food! Touch is important - else I could hurt myself, like burn a finger or step on a pin, and not even feel it.

lol.s Once you lose your sense smell, you will lose the sense of TASTE.. and then, as a consequence, you cannot enjoy the SCENARY also. that is to say, your sense of VISION also will get hampered.
So does your sense of touch, if you cannot feel the sweetness of the smell of what you touch.
So, I will never give away any of my senses. Thanx.

I would agree, smell would be the one I would choose to give up if I had to. maybe it would help reduce my allergies. With those allergies my nose is often so plugged I can not smell anyway. I wouldn't want to give up any of the others so if one had to go that would be it, smell.
