Sometimes their are problem occurs when your computer is old. I already experience that my CDrom wont eject. Even the led green light blinking still the CDrom wont eject. I simply check the power supply using my tester check the yellow and red cord if the power supply gets out. I find out theres an open wire I try to use my tools then to fix it. Have done like this before?

well.. growing up, it became one of my fascinations and habits to fix my computers. whenever i encounter problems with my computer (or a friends' computer), i see to it that i find the cause, and find a solution, if possible. i guess these fascinations also led me to become a part of the IT industry. c',)

yep. we need to stay updated all the time. we need to learn all the current updates, specially those related to the specific branch of IT we're in. actually, i'm in the programming branch. i'm generally a visual basic programmer but i also do some web development stuff, specially since our company needs to maintain the company website.

Yeah, I had a number of old CD ROMs that doesn't open up easily. I really get irritated if the CDrom can't read the disc. I usually force it in and out for it to be recognized by the computer. In due time, it would have a hard time reading other discs and would be having problems with the tray. I'd have to literally open up the CDrom and pull the CD out.
As far as any other errors, I always fix it myself though. It's really a challenge when it comes to hardware are a lot of things can be very complicated and a bit expensive especially if you need to replace a part. Software errors are not that hard though and not expensive at all but I still do 'em all by myself. Take care.
