men believe that monks seek privacy and quiteness , but i feel perplexed about their choice. i wonder their lives may be too simple to miss all the fun we are enjoying, all the pleasure modern life can offer. in fact, they are enjoying the facilities modern technology provides like they ride scooters for shopping, they brew beers to sustain their basic need.
so ,what sort of life they actually lead?

The monks have a higher state ,maybe.I hear that if want to be a monk in China ,he should have a high education background .Of course ,it is just a rumor ,I haven't approved it is true .I have the same view with you ,a buddhist monk can't eat meat and close to a woman ,there are so many mitzvahs for them ,that is a terrible thing.Maybe they are limited by abbot to paly games on line.ha ha ~~But I think ,in the contray ,there are advantages ,for example, they can avoid turning down in love.just a joke.

I was always fascinated by the monks...well a person gets used to certain things, like for me example, i used to go out alot, but now i stay in my house most of the time, on the internet, reading, or cleaning the house. I like the idea of being a monk for like a few months, and i think I am having my training already. Well a person who can defeat boredom surely is a monk cos the mind needs to negate any weakness.

It seems okay nowadays for monks to get married, and there are some college student monks, that is what they choose to be after their graduation. Monks can get married and they can also have kids.
But in the past, monks were representing some people who tried to aviod living a complicated life, since being a monk was a lot easier for him to live a life.
