everything is very expensive nowadays and people tend to use their money wisely due to high cost of living. with the rampant use of cellphone even by school children, how much do you usually spend for your cellphone each month? is it to expensive for you? are you trying to limit the number of messages that you send every day or the calls that you have to make? is cellphone necessity or a just an extra burden from the pocket?

in my case, my mobile is one of my most spent-on item. in texting alone, i guess i spend around Php500 (or approx a little over $10) per week. and thats just based on an average week. i spend way more on important events.

oooooooohhh.. a $69 plan with a $600 bill.. that is annoying.. thats one of the reasons why i stick with prepaid plans. somehow, i get to minimize my expenses. if i don't want to spend more than a specific target, i can simply stop buying more credits.. hehehe.. c",)

i would say that being in a pre-paid is really a convenience for you can save a lot and make sure you are within the budget. i used to have a post paid plan before and i usually over exceed with my monthly plan. thanks for the post and happy mylotting!!!

I have a pre-paid plan with rollover minutes. We got it for emergency purposes since there are hardly any public phones anymore. I think in the last 2 1/2 years I might have use all in all maybe 20 minutes and that was on a trip as hotel phone usage is super expensive. It amazes me how dependent people have become on their cell. I'm glad I don't feel the need to be connected 24/7 yet I'm still alive, lol. I wonder how many people would have started to restrict their cell usage in order to save money in a worsening economy... cell phone or gas.. cell phone or gas....
It's an expense that is unnecessary. I know people who pay $100 to $150/month just for the convenience and then of course there are those who want the latest model with all the features like the iphone. What a waste of money! That iphone is horrendously overpriced.

I don't have a landline, so yes a cell phone is necessary for me. I do think it saves money by not having both. My cell phone plan is 39.99 a month national plan with 500 minutes, plus another 10 dollars for 750 texts a month. I also get a discount of 6 dollars off the 39.99 through my work (15%). It isn't a bad deal, but I'm still always looking for ways to save money. I do wish they had a texting plan for 500 a month, since I usually use about 300-400. The next plan down though is 300 and I tend to go slightly over that.

Our cell phone is not expensive at all. There are two cell phones on the plan. My husbands and mine. My husband put me on his plan. It is only $89.00 a month and we have the company that does roll over minutes. My husband calls to his family in Kentucky and we live in Illinois. We have never paid any more than the 89 dollars. I do think the cell phone is a necessity. When you are traveling on the highway and if something happens to the car, either the engine or having a flat tire, you have the cell phone to call for help. If you are running late to a appointment or even when going to your family's outing the cell phone lets you call them and tell them you will be late. I can't imagine being without a cell phone.

My cell. phone bill comes out to about $116 a month... That's with 15% discount I get from work... Considering cell. phone is pretty much only phone I use, except for the telemarketers, it's worth it for me... All the important people in my life has my cell. phone number... That plan includes unlimited everything... Voice calling, any type of messaging - text, voice, pictures, emails - & also unlimited blackberry plan which is pretty much a data plan...

Before, I spend a lot of load for my cellphone...I spend 30-50php per day!!!It's $1 if you'll convert it...That was before, when i'm a college student..but now, i spend 20php ($.50) aday or sometimes for two days..I more on text than call...
for me, cellhone is a necessity of everyone.because you can used it anywhere and you call text or call for emergency wherever you are...

Compared to the average family...I don't know if we spend too much. We just cut our minutes and it's down to abour $120.00/monthe for four lines, unlimited text, 700 minutes. Is that a lot? We're with Sprint right now, 9 more months until our contract expires! Yeah!!!!!

I spend between 40 and 65 a month but we only have the cell phone. We used to have a regular phone too but when we moved we just never had another hooked up. I'd much rather just have a land line. I hate cell phones.
