Well, my system is kind of old relative to age of computers and how fast they become outdated, and I have .99 GB of RAM. In my next laptop I am looking for 4 or 5 GB of RAM. Is yours 512 GB of RAM or 512 MB of RAM? The later woul be kind of slow in relation to the new PC's.

I have 2 1GB RAM's put into my PC. So that makes it a total of 2GB. All software's run absolutely smoothly on my PC without any problems.
Even Windows Vista which eats up a lot of RAM and computer resources works very fast on my PC. There is never a lag o the PC never runs slow as there is always sufficient RAM. With Windows XP the PC works super fast.
I feel 2 GB of RAM is more than enough for running all kinds of Applications and software's and even playing games. Higher than 2GB is usually used for server and heavily loaded systems.
