Tithing: Do you get back what you give?

Hi I was wondering if anyone here has tithed to their church and after you did, did God bless you with abundance?
I am not a religious person, I am Catholic but do not practice my beliefs however I have in the past put my money in the collection basket.
Even after doing so, I had to struggle money wise. I know that money is used to help the people that are in need however I feel that God has let me down.
I was thinking of joining the 700 club (I watch that show everyday) and donating some money to them. I believe they do good by people and hoping that one day God will pay it forward to me in some way.
I have given when I had very little and it's just that it would be nice if I could get something back.

Its the laws of nature we get back what we give,ie. like attracts like.So every time we should do good to everyone so that in return we get good.Doon't discourage anyone to to any thing good.But if any one is going on the wrong path try to persuade him to change his path for the benefit on mankind

Thats what is supposed to happen but doesn't always like in my case. I hope that one day something positive comes out of my situation. Thanks for your reply dhanan.
