People that just don't get sarcasm

Have you ever said a sarcastic remark that someone took seriously? And then you have to explain it to them because they just don't understand? I find this happens sometimes--not a lot though. Also, it can be hilarious because children usually always take sarcastic comments literal. What do you think?

Well, mostly my mom does that because she's really very touchy. Some people can't understand sarcasm at all though, it can be very hard for them. Like people with Asperger's Syndrome.
