Does anyone know how to copy the list of favorite places or bookmarks that you keep? I have fav places on IE nad Bookmarks on FF - but if I crash, I wonder if I will not get my favs back, so...anyone know how to copy (Other than literally sitting there and typing them to notepad) and paste the names of everything in your list to have a back up?

The most sicure way is to back up your my document file into a cd or removable media such as a usb key. If u don't want to take any chances back up your C drive too. There are plenty of programs to back up your files. Window has a back up utility only on the XP pro version if u r using a home version you have to install it separetly from the installation CD. Anyway the files you are looking for are in the my documents folder.

I use Spurl (http://www.spurl.net) but there are several other good web-based bookmarking utilities available to people here free of charge. In any case you don't have to type them in because you could just e-mail the bookmark data file to any web-based e-mail program. I send myself messages from my cell phone and bookmarks and everything else to my g-mail account all the time. It is much easier than writing a note and losing it, plus the g-mail archives are searchable.

though not very efficient, the best way I can think of is to go to each site, and copy and paste the link into a works or word document, and then print it out to keep, Save the file in your computer, so you don't have to do all that work again another day. Not the most efficient of ideas, but I hope it helps.

There are lots of places online. Digg http://digg.com/ is one and there is stumbleupon http://www.stumbleupon.com/ and a whole bunch of others. I have bookmarks all over the place too.
