Maid of honor gown..

My sister is getting married next year, and I never expected her to choose me as her maid of honor. You can say that we are close, but not really that close. She doesn't even have an idea how many boyfriends I have had.. Haha..
Anyway, she was already making me choose some gowns that she likes for me. There were some gowns that I really liked, but I worry if they really look good on me or not. You see, I am concerned about how I would look and whether I'd be comfortable with the gown or not.
To all girls out there, do you know what kind of gown that is good for me? I have a slim figure and a dark complexion. I am also petite. Let's say I have a banana figure (w/c I'm awfully not proud of). And the colors in the wedding are lilac and a lighter shade of green. Suggestions? URLs to pictures would be much appreciated. You can only decide that for your self. Before ordering anything, feel free to try gowns in the malls. They have all size and shapes for you to choose. Then once you have an idea in mind then that is the time you can go to have it sewn or buy it from a store. Bottomline, choose what looks good on you and what is comfortable to wear. You'll never know unless you try

Since the wedding will be next year, you still have time to window shop and decide later, because the trends would have definitely changed by next year. There are a hundreds of Bridal/Wedding sites you can search for and check out.
