quite a few people especially females crave for foods most of the time. The question is,what really makes us behave in this manner when it comes to food? Do we attach something to the food we eat or simply just the taste?
Many would probably say that they consume high amount of the food they are eating because it's apparently delicious. On the other hand, one who doesn't actually love to eat would find him/herself on a day bingeing. Some say it's because of stress-related factors. As for me,I do binge when I have problems. I don't know exactly the reason why this always happens.

When I feel sad or gloomy, I often eat uncontrollably. I think food can make I forget many unhappyness. Nevertheless I know it is a bad habit. A temporary forgetting can't solve any problem.

ruby I find myself eating comfort foods on days
when I am too stressed out. and my weight is such
that I really should not be overeating at all.
scientists have proved when we are stressed we eat
the foods that are carb high to relieve the stress, and
they are usually comfort foods, ones we always turned'
to when we were upset. They may be delicious but also they
'were there for comfort at other times as a kid. Nowthey make us fat if we are not careful

Hi Hatley!thanks for sharing. That info helpd. Some people claim they can't eat when they are stressed. For those who find food as comforting like us,do you think some fixations during our growth and development period when we were younger can be considered factors affecting our eating bahaviour?

without knowing you personally of course,
one of the best articles i read was that
sadness and our inability to deal with sadness
creates a black hole inside of us.
we spend time and energy trying to fill up this
black hole (rather than dealing with the problem OR
because we can't correct the problem) with many
addictions.
too much food, too many men, too many purchases, too much drinking, etc.
and, of course, if the food tastes good, that is an extra bonus.
still, it doesn't correct the problem.

I would say that I mostly eat because it's just incredibly delicious. But I do sometimes eat because I think I should. On some days I'll look at my watch and go 'It's almost noon and I haven't eaten anything yet. It's about time...'
Stress is definitely a factor for a lot of women, though. For me it's different. I can't eat when I am stressed or sad. I can eat a lot when I'm angry...

When I was a student I ate a lot to fuel my brain and my body. But now that I'm bumming around, I binge when I'm unhappy. Food makes me happy. As long as I eat something delicious it seems like my problems go away. Emotional eating is something that I use as an escape for my problems. Other times I try to stay away from chocolates and sweets and frappucinos that after a while I have a sudden craving for it and I just need to get a lot into my system. SO it's really not healthy to deprive yourself of food that you love. Moderation is always key.
I almost eat more than that I need every meal. It is bad to my health anyway. Since I am kind of tired during the day, I am always very hungry when I have dinner. I eat more and more and my stomache become bigger and bigger. But I still lose my weight. For some reason, I have to go down and up stairs so many times. This makes me hungry, eating uncontrollably, losing weight.
