I have once visited the colorful city of Berlin in Germany and I want to share with you some of the things I learned when going to Berlin. Number 1: Always bring an umbrella! When I came to Berlin I somehow brought an umbrella and when I was in the check in counter of my airline provider he told me that it is a must when going to Berlin because it rains a lot in Berlin. Number 2: Buy a one week unlimited train/bus ride ticket. I think it will cost you EU25 but it's worth it since you can save some bucks especially if you get lost (I'm sure you will) so you don't to buy a ticket once in a while but important not to lose your week ticket ok? Number 3: This is a basic thing, map! Always bring a map any where in the world. Number 4: There are three airports in Berlin; Tegel, Tempelhof and Schoenefeld airport all of these airports have decent system and you could easily get a bus ride just outside of these aiports. Number 4: each simple meal such as felafels or sausage that they call (wurst) will cost you about EU2.00 per order drinks will also cost about EU1.5 so basically you will spend about EU10 a day for food if you're not a fancy eater. You can also save by buying breads form the grocery. Number 5: always bring your own bag when shopping at the grocery. Unlike the US or Philippines, in Berlin plastic bags in the grocery aren't mandatory. It's an extra service so if you don't bring your own bag you can buy EU0.20 per bag kinda expensive but a great way to save the environment. NUmber 6: Berliner shops close really early at an average of 5-6pm so shop earlier before closing time catches you. Number 7: Sunday is rest day so don't expect much stores open during sundays actually it is very rare to see an open shop during sundays.
Other suggestions is appreciated.

Good advice. But it doesn't rain THAT much in Berlin, lol. Also, if you don't fancy fast food options from a street stand or small mostly carry-out place, you will pay more than EU10/day.

Haha yeah maybe it doesn't rain that much but the Lufthansa guy told me and to be honest I've experienced rain twice while I was there for ten days. Anyways just make it a Just-in-case thing. I think I went there for the month of February so it's freezing cold and it rained at the same time.
