I actually have worked at Walmart for a month now. I am trying to save up my money for my vacation to Sweden in December which will be a month long, I just need to raise up some spending money and then I will quit at the end of November, perhaps I will give them three weeks notice, but maybe I would be safer only giving them two weeks notice. Do I like it? I would have to say that it's not the best job in the world, but it's not really hard. I work in apparel so all I do is fold clothing and screw around, I usually have all my work done in two hours, then I have seven more to just screw around and make it look like I am working hard haha, but that can be really boring. It's really not the worst retail job out there, the company always buys ice cream, cookies, and hot dogs for everyone, and also has company picnics every once in a while. If they can they will steal every weekend that you have though, I have not had one weekend day while I have worked there, and I have school during the week, so I have not one bit of personal time it seems, so if you like to get hours they will definitely give you them, which is good, though tiring.

What store number are you at? i'm at 1823. that sounds like the girls that work at my store in apparel. you're lucky that your store treats you to those things. mine rarely does and we don't get picnics.

My store number is 1887, I haven't worked there too long so I don't know too much about store number significance, but it seems our numbers are close haha . What do you think of Walmart, how do they treat you?

It's a job. They pay more then most retailers around where I live. We sometimes get food cooked on the grill by our manager but it seems geared more toward the department managers then to the whole store. I don't like rules or authority figures but I guess I get along with management ok. They all have their good and bad moments. You're right about having no personal time. You often here about the Walmart family, that's exactly what it sounds like, if yiu have a family you are not a part of the Walmart family. They want you to only care about Walmart and nothing else. G*d forbid your child gets sick and you have to leave early or take a day off.
