Since I'm not that updated with the things around me. I was shocked to learn that Pluto is not included in the 9 planets. My niece was playing a game online, she has to identify the planets according to their location and their names. I was looking for Pluto, and I just can't find it. Then I learned from a friend that scientists or experts on this field decided to remove Pluto from the 9 planets because of some factors. The thing is, who are we to decide as to which planet should be included or which should be not? We are but humans and yet I guess we're playing more than that. What are your thought about it?

One of the problems with Pluto is that it did not clear the space around it. As for why we can define planets, we assigned the term to planets in the first place. The distinction between planets and dwarf planets is just a somewhat arbitrary designation.
That being said, I was really sad when they demoted Pluto :( I know one of the astrophysicists who had to present the committee's recommendation to redefine Pluto as a dwarf planet, and he was really unhappy about it, too.
