Is Nuke Deal beneficial for india???

It seems like the long way to the Iran situation. India definitely benefits from this deal in that it has the "permission" to venture into nukes for developmental purposes. However, the con here is that it will be under checks and balances, or strict supervision. The other catch to this is that India can just wake up one day and say they are producing nuclear weapons. It could be late for IAEA to halt such production because by then India would have been in an advanced stage of producing nuclear arms.
