I have been working on novels since I was fifteen. I have completed four and only kept two and am now working on another one. They all seem to be novels that will be part of different series. One is science fiction, the other fantasy. I want to get them published but I am at a loss of how to go about it. I have bought books and such but they really haven't been much help. It would help to talk to someone who has written something, preferrably in science fiction or fantasy genres, and gotten it published. What is the path to publication, especially if I have little or no money to spend?

You can always self published your book, but if you want to go the traditional way, search online for publisher houses and send them your manuscript or synopsis. Get yourself an agent and go from there. Science fiction books don't do well on the market, well, that's what they say. As I said you can always published your own book yourself.

Congratulation for your work. Written four novel is not easy work.
There are many way to publish a novel. You can submit your manuscript to the publisher for their evaluation. You also can publish your own novel. There are many books written on "How to publish your own book". The simplest one is to publish your novel in form of e-book and sell it online. That is the easiest and cheapest one.
