Mamma mia! - Cinema or DVD??

For most movies I just wait for the DVD (seeing them in the theater is so expensive nowadays) but every so often a movie comes along that I feel I *must* see at the theater. For me Mamma Mia! was one of those movies. I went to see this on the weekend it opened and I am glad I did! I loved it! The scenery of Greece is breathtaking and the dance routines are fun to watch. And of course the music of ABBA is always fantastic. This is a movie adaptation of a Broadway show, so is meant to be enjoyed as a theater experience. If you see it in the theater you won't be disappointed. I still plan to get the DVD when it comes out.

I have been to see this movie twice at the cinema, we will be getting it on dvd when it comes out as the children want to see it again and again. You should really go to the cinema to see the film to get the best effect for it. It is out of this world, don't wait for the dvd

I have seen it in the theatre and will be buying the DVD. We always get DVDs of the best movies. The DVDs always contain extras that you don't see at the movie theatre, like out-takes. I love out-takes. I'm not a big fan of the loud sound and huge screen of the cinema but if it's a movie I know I will love I will go see it. Mamma Mia is a great movie to be seen both in the theatre and on DVD.

I saw it on Broadway and it was awesome!! I haven't had the chance to go see it in the cinema yet, but would love to. I would choose cinema if I were you and then pick up the dvd once it comes out.

well, it would be great to see it first in the cinema...but once it goes out on dvd, get a copy as well. it's a nice movie. and it would be fun to sing along with the people you love in the comforts of your own home... =)

wow is it really that good.it is not here in singapore yet.i am looking forward to it too.haha.beside this movie any more must watch move?there isnt many movie recently that is a must watch.

I'd say go see it at the cinema now. I had been waiting a long time for it to arrive on the big screen and it was definitely worth the wait. Not sure about your country but they recently released it again here in the US but this time it's the sing along version. I haven't seen it but my understanding is that they have the words at the bottom so you can sing along, which is good for those who don't know the words or new fans wanting to learn.

I haven't yet but,we like to.I would probably watch it on DVD.Don't go to the movie cinema.Plus,I like to watch movies in the comfort of my own home.
