Are we losing our Summer ?

What was summer like in your area did ? Did you have many nice days or was it colder then it used to be ? Do you find your summer getting shorter and shorter every year ?
We didn't have anything for summer this year at all . It only started to get nice enough to wear shorts in August and only lasted for three weeks . School has started and where every other year I still had all the summer clothes out , this year I actually had to dig out some of the winter clothes for the children to wear to school because there are days it is so cold you actually need a jacket or a heavy sweather .
I remember when I was in school and in May we would start wearing shorts and it would be this way right up til the end of September but each year it seems to be getting worse and worse .
I managed to take my children to the beach all of once this year and found summer went by much to fast and feel the reason for this was because it didn't feel like we did have a summer at all .
What is it like in the area you live ? Did you acutally get to experience summer at all ? And do you feel our climate is changing so much that eventually we will only have three seasons instead of four ?

Here in California is was hotter than H-E-double hockey sticks all summer long! Triple digets since May! I hate it and nothing will make me happier than winter getting here and some breathable cool weather! Just to hard to do things when it is so disgutingly hot!!!

I think the seasons go in cycles. Last year got plenty hot, and stayed that way around here, but that was after having a late frost in April. We had that in 2007, and 2006. We did not have hundred degree days as soon this year as in the past, and not as many. However, some years are different. I do not know about your school district, but ours are staying in school later and starting earlier, and that makes summer seem shorter as well. We have had some cool days the last two weeks, but we could see high 90's again before we see frost.

It seems every year we get less and less of summer and our winters are becoming more milder with each year that goes by .
Our school district stays the same every year so it was cold when summer vacation ended and now that they have started it is getting cold again already .
We really only had about 3 weeks of summer and it was while they were off school but because it was only 3 weeks it seemed that summer went by much too quickly and we didn't get to do much of anywhere , whereas summer is always the time of year that we got to do something .

That can seem really strange. We had a cold and icy winter, so I was glad for spring. It did seem to warm up later this year.

The leaves are turning colors and falling already around here. Summer is my favorite time of year but I must have slept through it this year. I agree that the climate is so much different that the seasons are changing. I posted a post on gather concerning the climate change.

Summer is my favorite time of the year as well and it is sad to think that it is gone by already . Before we know it there will be snow on the ground again . I waited all year to see the sun and I saw it out a few times and now it is gone again and it is starting to get cold .
If it keeps up like this I am going to have to find a warmer climate to move to lol .

yes I do think that we are losing are summer becuase its cold like every day or it is raining and you cant do nothing so I think that god should chage all of this and mae it so that we get the rest of the summer.
