Do you save souvenirs from your trips?

As I was recently tossing out ticket stubs and programs from the show I saw while on my last Vegas vacation, I realized that some people would actually put those things in a scrapbook to look back on in the future. Many people keep scrapbooks or photo albums of their trips. Some will collect small mementos such as ticket stubs, matchbooks, napkins, and such, to remind them of the places they visited. Some will even purchase little trinkets. Maybe it's because I go to Vegas a few times a year, or maybe I'm just not very sentimental, but I don't even take a camera with me anymore. (I did, however, purchase a Mirage t-shirt.) What, if anything, do you save from your trips?

No, not everyone. T-shirts are nice though, because they're definitely useful, instead of gathering dust in a corner (which is probably what would happen if I collected souvenirs! LOL) And great conversation starters, when people see what you're wearing.

The trips that my husband and I usually go on is to las vegas. We usually try to go at least twice a year. We collect shot glasses from all the casinos. We did not go this year kinda the air flights were a little to high. Sometimes we get a deck of free cards from some of the casinos and shirts.

Shot glasses! That's a great idea to collect! They are unique and small enough to display all the time.

I sort of do I guess. I have many of the boarding pass stubs from the flights I go on and seem to have a few maps and brochures and things like that from a number of places as well. I do though always but a t-shirt from each country I go to for my wife but aside from these base things I don't really bother with souvenirs much anymore. I have to travel a lot for my work so I guess the novelty of travelling wore off a little bit.

Yes, I'm sure business travel would take the shine off wanting to collect souvenirs. That's really nice that you buy a t-shirt for your wife from each country! When my dad traveled for work, we were always so excited to help him unpack when he got home, since there was always some goodie for us in the suitcase.

I'm so terrible about taking pictures! I'm not the best photographer, for one thing. Plus I just forget to take them!!!

I do bring home souvenirs. I'll hang onto everything, even the littlest things like receipts or boarding passes. I have lots of little boxes full of those kinds of things. My mom and I went to England last year. We saved everything (she even brought home the hot chocolate and sugar packets! LOL) because we knew we were going to make a scrapbook. We haven't started on it yet but I know when we do, we'll have a lot of things to use and look back on.

I have a friend who does this. She is also working on a scrapbook (or possibly several!) I work with her husband, and he is always telling me the silly things his wife has brought home from the trip. LOL She is sure going to have some memory-filled scrapbooks, though!
