In Australia we have some REALLY odd sayings! One example is used when we have been really busy and we would say "I've been flat out like a lizard drinking!". Another example which sounds almost crude but means that we are out drinking is "Hitting the piss!" lol. Both are pretty unique to Australians and not necessarily used a lot but they are still somewhat bizarre I guess!

My mom has several she'll use. Sometimes she'll say something so random and off the wall. Not sure where she gets them from or if she makes them up. One of her favorites is, "My guts are eating me!" She'll use that one if she's really hungry. Not exactly sure where she got it from but I have a feeling it came from her mom. If so, that's where it stops because I never say it.
