Do u know Jackie Chan? Is he famous in your country

Yesterday, I talked with a Japanese guy about Jackie Chan. He admitted that Jackie Chan was very famous in Japan as well. But he still doubted his kungfu was true.Me, on the other hand, I have implicit faith in his ablity. I told him some Shaolin Monk can jump to the roof with a stick. If u have watched the pole vault games, u would know how they do it. Also, I show u a picure so-called one finger stand, which is Shaolin Kungfu, to u. This is kind of unbelievable. However, it is true.
So, u may know that some kungfu is actully true.Thus, u would believe that Jackie Chan's Kungfu is true, right?

I'm sure that most of the kung fu movie fans will have heard of the name. I enjoy how he incorporate humour and fighting together...but sadly, that is more to stunt moves than real kungfu....the real martial arts/kung fu movie star is Jet Li...i'm not bashing Jackie Chan here but i would say Jet Li's moves are more to true kung fu, and note that he's the former Kung Fu champion in China...IMO...

But I still prefer Jackie Chan since he is really kind hearted!

i salute him because he contributed a lot in charity...and i like his humour ways..but in terms of fighting, i would prefer the serious martial arts stle

I have been a Jackie Chan's fans ever since.It never come to my mind if his kungfu is true or not but the fact that his movies really entertains alot of people and they really love it,it's enough for me.I like his sense of humor and everything he does in his movie.Its really worth watching.

Yes Jackie Chan is very famous here in the Philippines, although i don't watch his films but there are times when my husband watches and i too watches the film its nice. He is very funny and the boy has a lot of talent. Happy mylotting!

Jackie Chan is fairly well known through his movies here in the US. Since most movies are known for special effects, most people assume that his capability was artificially enhanced.

Jacky Chan is very well known too here in my country. And I believe he was doing his own stunts. But for the kungfu stuffs, I cannot tell, the only movie stars that I believe can do the real kungfu was Jet Li. But now since Jacky Chan's getting older, I think he do less dangerous stunt in hos movie. He's no longer play with heights and too much dangerous acrobatics stunt in the air. And I think after encountered many accident, broken bone, etc. he's done getting in and out the hospital :p

Yes, but Jet Li is also kind but with lower profile I guess, not many knows that he gave huge amount of charity for the Tsunami victims in Aceh, Indonesia and Phuket, Thailand when there were a Tsunami disaster in many places in South East Asia. But Jacky Chan is more exposed when he did charity. I think both are kind, and I like both...

I don't know enough about Kungfu to really know how authentic it is, but it SEEMS like Jackie Chan does his own stunts and, terrible acting aside, is incredibly talented. He is very famous here in the US, mostly in cheesy movies... most are stupid, but some parts are pretty funny. And the guy seems like he can do some amazing tricks.

I don't know really but I believed that he has a skills since they've said that a lot of times in his shooting, he has broken arms or legs because he really wants to do it and not just fake things! Maybe about his kung fu, it is true also!
He is very famous in the Philippines and I enjoy his movies![/i]

I think Jackie Chan is known world wide. He is an international star. Yes he is famous here as well. I think he is a fine entertainer. I think that the kung fu is secondary to this.

Oh I love Jackie Chan! and yes he is famous here in our country. For an actor to be effective, they need to study all the lines and everything that is involved in the movie including KungFu in the case of Jackie Chan. So I think, he really knows KungFu and as you all know Jackie Chan does his own stunts. I remember he had an accident before because of a stunt. I don't remember which movie though.
I would really love to collect Jackie Chan movies. I think his movies are entertaining.

Yes Jackie Chan is famous in my country. He has come to my country to do a film before with Michelle Yeoh many many years ago. He came to our capital city. I believe so that Jackie Chan does his own stunts because in most of his movies after the ending, they will show you some shots behind the scenes on how the make the film. I like to watch Jackie Chan movies as they have funny jokes, good stunts and there's story and the movies are clean. last week I just watched The Kingdom Of Heaven at home. It was okay..and I must say Jackie's spoken english has improved alot.

no doubt, jackie chan is famous all over the world, He has block buster movies, who can forget this man. Im one of his fans, I like his movies so much because there is a good story behind it and you cannot forget how to laugh out loud, specially bloppers in the stunt he make. About his kungfu, i still believe it is true but he just put a little comedy on it thats what make him famous.

Well, this is America.. and yeah, he's VERY famous. It's pretty rare for an asian to be famous also.. but he's more famous because he DOES his own stunts. He's broken so many bones and his nose and other parts of his body many times because he does it himself.. so yeah I don't doubt him.
He's really funny.. I love the SHANGHAI KNIGHTS movies.. Even with his accent, haha, I think it makes it funnier.
Yeah, he even has his own little toy figures and once had his own cartoon show where he was the voice of himself..

yes, we like him here in the United States. I have always heard that his stuff was real. I don't know. He certainly makes it look real. He has really come a long way since his first movies where he could not even speak english.

Yes i know him and i really like him i mean in the movie hes very good actor,I think he is known in the Philippines and also he is a international actor even my husband know him,He makes very good movies specially in karate i dont know if its right word heheh.

Yea,definitely`Jackie Chan is the most hot Kungfu star in my country during the past two decades.For his Kungfu,I can tell you that is true.He was fellowed his master when he was a child,say around 16 years old to practise Kungfu and the relatd skills.He never used the stunt men and thus always been injured during the high-risk scenes of his movies.He is great men with kind-heart and join the charity activities frequent.~~lol

The most import thing is he is really kind-hearted.
Some other actors are not like that.
Also, he donated a lots of money to the disaster areas.
He gave generously!

I have watched his movies,and I like the way he perform his stunts.He is famous here in India too.Four months back Jackie was here in India,and he expressed his willingness to act with actress Mallika Sharawat.He as a man is really good.I love his movies a lot.
