I didn't vote, but today is election day, go out and vote! I would but I have no transportation!

I am not an American, so obviously didn't vote for either. One thing that astounds me is the number of people who do not vote. In Australia we have compulsory voting or at least getting your name marked off the electoral roll. So if you go to the polling booth to do that, you might as well vote. LOL
Not to get your name marked off/vote means that you will get a fine. If people do not vote and they are able to, then they have no right to criticise the person who is elected. In some countries the people do not have the right to vote and yet in countries where there are free elections, people choose not to vote. Why?
