What do you do when someone keeps on giving you their unfinished work?

Since I was new in the workplace, of course it can't be help that they pass on to you the projects that they can't finish. The problem is they keep on giving me all those unfinished projects which are way past the deadline already. Do you think this is fair?

I do not think it is fair for someone who should be doing a certain task to pass it on to other people. In this case, it's even way past the deadline. Being new in the organization should not be an excuse for you to accept such projects just to make a good impression. You should know your limitations too. Have you talked to your supervisor about this? I think that you should. I do not think it is fair for them to be doing this to you. However, if you keep accepting what they want you to do, it gives them the impression that they can do it to you always.

New comers are normally disadvantaged. If you see it in a positive way, it's a way to learn from the senior fellows. But it's frustrating when those senior ones are not nice.
A strategy is.. be selective. Don't take all the job anybody throw on you. Figure out who deserves your respect, who you can learn things from. Then, take jobs from them happily and work seriously. For the crappy ones, make them feel difficult whenever they wish to throw things on you. For the others, make them feel that you are doing a favor for them, and a return of favor is expected.
