My desk is messy. No matter what I do it always has a pile of papers. Any tips to help keep me organized?

I try and keep my desk clean but it always ends up dirty and unorganized!
It's very bad at the moment. I really should clean it and i've been telling myself for a week now lol but i still haven't gotten around to doing it... it's sure a pain man! having to move everything and wipe it down because of the dust and then having to organized all my junk and throw out the trash and then put everything up.
and i have so much crap and not enough room for it and some of it i'm sure doesn't even really need to be at my "computer" desk but i don't really have another place for it and since i'm always at my computer, i want it by me lol
Keeping a clean desk is a lot of work! lol but my room is just as messy.
maybe i will actually clean it this week! (lets hope because it needs it!) lol

Two words.... file cabinet. That is a life saver for me. It keeps my papers neatly tucked away into labeled files that I can pull out by catagory. I have red folders for any bills due and any outgoing money such as receipts, green folders for check stubs and any incoming money, etc. Hope this helps!

I think we have the same problem. But for we that was before. Every pile of trashes starts in every single trash. I think, every time you put something on your desk, don't just leave it there for a time. If you leave it there, and you did the same thing for another days, it will pile up. I will share a tip for you, always have a trash can near you and a clipboard. This things deal best with papers. Do not let the papers pile up. Always keep your important papers on your clipboard and then discard all the non-important papers in the trash bin. Deal with these thing IMMEDIATELY to avoid pile-ups! :) Happy cleaning. haha.
