how do u cope with the relatonship of your love and your family?

I have encountered the same problems. My family didn't like my GF, even in one moment, my parents disallowed my GF to go to my house. I didn't like the situation but since I had the faith in my GF, I tried to prove to my family that my GF is a good person. Started from the small things, like ask my sisters go with my GF and I in some occasion. Since my sisters had felt comfortable with her, I know that it just the time for my mom can accept her. And last week, my mom came to the city. I met her and I brought my GF with me. And they had some talk together. I mean, they really had sometimes together and talked about things. Small things but they talked. I mean, after all these years I waited in vain, my mom can accept her!! So I think it is you who should work really hard if you want to get your partner and your family get along together.
