Why should I NOT hire you?

Almost all of us have experienced applying for a job at one time or another. I actually also do interviews and have asked several questions to applicants who want to be part of the company.
A lot of applicants would actually prepare for the questions that may be asked during a job interview. Now let's say that you are now applying for your dream job... Everything is going well... then all of a sudden, I ask you the million dollar question:
WHY SHOULD I NOT HIRE YOU?
How would you answer this question? We're all so used to the question "why should I hire you" right? Now, let's make things a little more difficult.
Remember--an interviewer would not ask a question like this if there isn't a reason behind it...

It seems to me that if an interviewer were to ask this question, it would be a test in honesty and in wit. i might reply, "because I'll take your job someday", as a joke.

Well, for me, every interview i won't do any preparation, mayb it can said i lazy but i think u should give ur honest answer instead u prepare... coz 1 u prepare, all the grammer mistake or watever can b avoid.... then the interviewer won't get 2 noe the proper u... tis is wat i think....
n as the question "y should i not hire you?" i think i will blank for a while and i will tell the interviewer confidertly tat there is no reason not to hire me if u feel i qualified. =) tis is wat i will answer, i not sure whether i right or wrong, but i just wish to let the interviewer noe wat is my charather =)

Hehe.. You do have a point there candysky. What's hard about preparing beforehand is if you forget one word, you forget your whole script!

I dont think that the interviewer would like my response but i would like to tell them " that i dont see any reason why they should not hire me and that i have all the requisite qualities required for the post, and if they do see a reason they could tell me what it is i can work upon it for the future!" I am sure they would call me arrogant after i leave. But to be honest that is the only thing that i can make up in a short span of time. I dont like to look blank when asked a question.

Hello Rose
I wonder if you are still with mylot but a quick check of your profile with over 60 days of inactivity tells me that most probably not.
However I think this may be the best question I heard for some time now and I don't know what my answer would be :)
