Squid guard crashed

Hi, Has anyone experienced using Squid with Squidguard in Linux? I've installed a caching proxy server on a Linux box. In order to prevent some black-listed sites being browsed by the our users, a "Squidgaurd" is configured to run with Squid. Time to time it get crashed, specially when starting the Squid service. some time it takes long time to up run the service. When unlinked the Squidgaurd, Squid runs properly. The Squid also configured to authenticate users. now there around 3000 users. That process never got crashed but Squidguard. Any suggestion please.
