$$ comes from Quantity or Quality ?

I have no idea. Nothing came promising as i earned $0.38 for 50+ post since i joined. I would normally comment 5-6 lines but the money that i got was not good. Hearing some people who got $1.00++ after 60++ post in mylot, i felt that it was really unfair.
Why do you think this happened? How can i get more money here ? Is it by being more frequently online and post more or quality of comment/disscussion?

I think ot all depends on the quality of the postings that you replied to.
When I got 30, it was more than what you got/
Now, I have $1.53 in my account from having 48 posting. Now I'm up by 54.
I have more money from ehow though and going to work on it sometime today.
I post as much as I can which is always under 5 a day that I started.
When I reply back to people, I try to be more descriptive about why i say whatever it was.
I once read that if you started and made a new discussion and someone replied back to you, and you replied back, you get more money that way too.
I think also that if you said more than a certain line as well that are about the topic, then you would get more money too.
I hope this somewhat helps.
I wish I get paid $1.00 a day for doing this.
I found some other places that pays more than what this place pays.

I wish i get paid high too. I am 'experimenting' the ways to make money . haha . Maybe if i reach 1,000 post. I would create a disscussion ' The ways to make money in MyLot ' . HAHA.
Dont copy my idea :)

I really feel that it depends on the quantity of post your have. Having said that, there might be other factors that can change your pay rate. Mylot might have a type of algorithms that can detect how many mistakes a post might have and the amount of words you have posted per reply. If you break any rules, your pay rate will reduce, that's definitely appropriate. I have done like 10 posts this month and earned like 20cents and I don't really mind since each reply is like 2 minutes of typing.

Wow, that program could be a ultimate good programs(algorithms). Never have i heard of any such programs which detects writing mistakes and lines.
But 10 post a month is very little. It does not even reach 1 post a day. And 20 cents is quite good. Considering 2cents per post. Currently i dont even earn 1 cent per post. I earned 50post/$0.38 . less than 1 cent.

I think, this not only quantity but quality also. It depends on how long your post is and it should be having minimum grammatical and spelling mistakes. Further, your other activities in the forum of Mylot are also counted, though they may not be paying you directly for them, like how many posts you put in, how you are answering to each and every comment you receive and some people even say that things like uploading your photo (or avatar) also helps. So try to keep these thins in mind, when you are here at Mylot.

I always use 'I' and start my sentences with capital letters, actually, I'm habitual to do so. However, I can't say about its effects on paying rate as I've never experimented with it.

Yeah, I tried to uploads photo recently but it ended up not working too. I am still trying to figure out how to do these advanced options to earn more money.
I am currently attempting to do quality comments instead of quantity post since i do not have enough time to do quantity. I am quite busy nowadays.
But i would keep in mind of your advice. But would you write (i) or (I)? A small i or capital i . Does it count too? It would really be very weird if the alogrithm can read the differences. Or would you start every sentence with capital letters instead of small letters? Would it make much different to the money you receive ?
Please respond :) happy posting.

50 post for $0.38 is not a lot. But recently on 9th september i earned $0.34 for discussions and maybe 2 comments. Haha . I love my achievement currently . :)

Both quality and quantity I think. Persistence. And some good luck, so you may open quality discussions and get unfair low money on them, this happened to me recently. I got so frustrated that I decided to quit MyLot. But well, I am back now, month later! And will give one more try. Maybe the labels/tags are important too ?! See what kind of discussiong are in TOP every day, and try to walk that way. You will be lucky in the end, i am sure. At the beginning is difficult, I agree. You are not the only person in this situation, see me beside you !!!

Now my balance is better, I am starting to grow. Not much, I'm far away from my first payout, but still, there is an improvement. I answered all the emails received from MyLot. Not all the discussions. Take care, I hear rumors that if you replay to an improper discussion, you may loose money instead of earning. What I think is that they are taking back the money you earned for the comment or discussion.
Stay out of any suspicious discussion as much as you can.
Good Luck!

Haha. I stopped mylot for about 1 month already. Finally, i guessed you had awoken me. You posted in my discussion, so i decided to reply. I always get little money. Always $0.30 and below. If I do mylot for very long hours while spending most of my time typing, I would get the max $0.70. I had no idea about the cashing system too.

From what I hear, even from the old timers you just can't tell how much you are going to earn, I think if the reason you joined mylot was to make money, you're in the wrong place.

Ok. I am sorry about that. There is time for people to grow up on their knowledge and experience about MyLot. Soon i think i would abandon the thoughts of earning money and show my interest here.

Hi pedestrain,
It used to be that they are quite the same. Both routes lead to the same point.
But some time back, myLot modified its algorithm and from my own experiments, I find that quality and longer responses get more money. In fact, I can put it this way - if you are in for the money, don't rush through as many discussions as you can - feel free to use the same amount of time to churn out long, quality answer.
It may be more effort since you think more but it is the same amount of time spent. You will get more money as a result.
In my opinion, 5-6 lines is considered a short answer that will not fetch much money. Cheers!

Currently i am practicing to write more lines. Much more than i started.
But the algorithm is a type of program that mark words? Like how english teachers mark their students' eassy? Like checking for grammar mistakes or content of eassy in order to give higher marks( In MyLots' case, Higher amount of money) ?
So hope you reach your 10,000 and infinite.

Wow. 1 year is a long time. I heard some people would be typing a lot of quantity and commenting a lot. Some of them can type 60 post a day and 1800 a month. I guessed you progressed 10 post a day which is excellent.
And your money rate is quite high. $22/1363 = $0.016/post . This is quite high. Nice work.

From the moment that I've been actively involved in mylot when I first started right until today, I still see these types of discussions. But I never get tired of answering them, ha!!
I think the key essence is always a combination of both. You need to have quantity in your posts as well as quality. If you have lots of answers that are nonsensical, then that defeats the purpose. If you have quality answers but only answer right up to 5 per day, it won't be enough to reach a payout.
I think it is mostly using common sense and a bit of creativity in our part; like try to answer variety of questions. Some about life, some about earnings, some about technology stuffs and many more. Varieties will see you getting more benefits from here. That's what I think. Have a nice day.

It can't be helped sometimes. Because money is 'King', but some do not make this King to rule their lives. It's healthy to discuss money, but not to be obsessed with it, I think.
Yes, I agree that your discussion is rather unique and I love it. It gives me a new perspective on this type of discussion and it has more or less connected to making money, in a healthy sort of way.
Have a cheery day and take care.

I agree when i first started, i do see this kind of post. A lot of them. I guessed this is the most popular type of disscussion-"MONEY".
Anything about money would attract anyone . But i think my disscussion is not very common in the sense of its phrasing of words. haha . Dont you think?

Not only writing a posting then leave them out. I myself did the same. My postings are about no more than 30 but I have got US$1.37 now. I rarely online in this forum. But, when I are able to be online, I would love to give comments on to the others postings. What do you think, Fellow?

Finally, i also realised that a good discussion is needed to maintain your money spree (: Open it, and maintain it well. Then the money will start rolling fast then slow then no more i guess. But it is better than nothing.
Plainly commenting is not very useful unless hm.. you make it really well. Put your heart into it. I havent got any money more than 0.30 for making comments. Maybe i did not spend much time on commenting.
Now when I reply back to you, I just got my $1.10 for today september 11. But if your rarely online, least set up a branch of meaningful post and let people comment. And when your back online, reply the post. If it is good, you get a lot.
Happy posting dude.

Yes to the last part of your question. Create catagories for people to join in the interest. This creates more conversations and that will generate more dough. You can also add pictures to your interests so when people sign up they will use your picture for thier interests. Keep doing what your doing, it will add up, this is more of a social/public forum, not a money making site.

Oh. I have not much or almost none. Like 1 picture which is not in my interest. The interest that i had added was counter-strike.Which was only that pathetic 1 interest which i dont think it is very popular with others. So socialising online to me does not seemed so suitable in my sort of environment.

I am pretty new at this myself - and have been wondering about the same thing. So far I've only got about 32 posts, but have earned 76 cents. Haven't quite figured out how to upload pics to my post for the extra $$ yet tho. The few times I've tried to do that - there hasn't been any credit for it, so I'm still working on that. The advice you've been given here so far, sounds good - guess I'll be taking it to heart myself ! Thanks for posting the question !

It is stated there at the corner if you tend to read it that be descriptive as possible. So try to be descriptive as much as possible. If it requires you to put your own experience, then why not? Me during my 1st day here I made 70 post and earned $0.99 dollars. I basically don't know how I do it but, I just trying to put a scene on everything I've posted. Hope that helps you too.

It seemed that you have made a good show back then. So how long did you take to reh 70 post in 1 day ? So i can learn from your guidance :) and maybe make 71 post to reach $1.00.

When your reply wasn't to that extent i mean without quality definitely you will experience low earning and even when you have a negative markings i guess your reply will lose your earnings or something.. try to post with more than 5 to 6 lines and with a good quality .i posted 90 discussions or something i got 1.40 cents and im ok with that earning.. wish you to earn more.. GOD BLESS

It is basically by not worrying about the money and having some fun. It is a total myth on how admin calculates earnings, and if somebody hopes to get rich here, this ain't the place, and I don't mean you personally. I frankly would go nuts if I would worry about whether I made $ 0.30 or $ 0.35. But you can find some good friends and helpful contacts here.

Few days back when i created this account, i wanted just to have fun. But at least have fun and at the same time earning. I would not be worrying about my earnings if it wasnt like i felt that why some people get more than me with same number of post. Jealousy i guessed. Humans have their jealous nature, including me. I dont know about all, but i know most do have jealousy.

I am also standing in your queue because I have never got $1 for posting responses and staring discussions here on MyLot. The most I made was $0.74 in one day and the posts were almost 60+. I guess people who get more than $1 in one day also get 25% income of referrals they referred here on MyLot plus they also upload photos to reach certain income in one day.
@pedestrain (137)

Yeah i think that is true. Maybe they had not realised that their referrals had helped them earned quite a digit. But i still believes that 1 post worth 2 cent considering its quality and quantity.

I constantly will say it's quality not quantity.. because if you have a great discussion you might have more fun and you might actually ended up being on more and posting with others more thus the quality gets you the better amount.

Sept 9 I made $0.34 with this discussion and little comments. I think i only posted 2 comments and had been replying all the comments on my discussion.
This greatfully made me agree that quality could be the factor that alogrithm of MyLot is looking for. Maybe higher than quantity. Thats why i recently did not post comments much but had been working on replying others here.
