Well in our country,We can easily have helpers in our house even its just middle class but there are some people who don't want helpers because its difficult to trust some of your stuffs well we got two helpers and I am kind pissed off because when I woke up,I saw dirty dishes just left in the sink and yeah I cleaned it and I just kept quiet awhile,My brother inlaw cleaned the Bathroom because It's really dirty and yeah the helper was just watchin t.v to the other house because we got two house in one lot.WHat I did Is,I turned off the main switch for electricity and they came out.I told them that I am too good too them and I am not that strict but that was my last warning and I rather don't have a helper than laying such a SeƱorita to the real one.How about you?have you experience this kind of thing?Do you have helpers?
THanks.Feel free to leave a comment.:-0

insulin in America no only the really rich have maids or helpers as they are too expensive for working class and middle class
people like myself and my son. If I had a maid working for me she would have to do her job or get fired as I could not afford to pay someone who did not do her job well. I guess in your country maybe the maids or helpers are not so well paida?

That is ridiculous. I would've been even harsher, especially if you're paying them. I hate people like that.. the ones who just sit around or just stand around while others work and they're getting paid for not even working. Ugh.
It's not really common for us to have maids here in the US.. even though the country's very wealthy compared to other parts of the world.. it's probably more for the rich. But yeah, the closest to a helper/maid will probably be a nanny. Because American parents work so much, they sometimes need caretakers for their kids so that can be pretty common.
I've never really had a babysitter, caretaker, or helper.. which I find useful because I mean it saves us money and it teaches kids and members of the family to play their own role in the house. I feel like having maids at an early age will really let kids learn to be lazy. Working and picking up after oneself and doing soething simple such as dishes teaches them responsibility and work ethic. I mean billions of people in the world work so hard and make less than a dollar a day!
Although I've never really had a helper/maid, I've experienced that with fellow co-workers. I'm currently working in this retail store and it's so incredibly annoying how so many of the girls (most about a year younger) just stand around and talk to eachother. When they're told to fold down shirts or whatever, they mess up all the shirt order, are too lazy to find where the shirts go, etc. It's just like uh... it's not that hard to clean up the store and get paid, you know?

I have never had a made come to my house because my family could never afford it. Also, we prefer to do all of our own house cleaning if we can.

No I do not have a maid. I do all the house work myself. I clean the house ,make all the beds ,do the laundry, scrub, vacuum the floors clean bathrooms and do the cooking and the dishes.I also have a full time job out of the home. I babysit for my grandkids after I get off of work. I am a busy person.

We grew up surrounded by helpers and workers that one need not be an "all around" helper to qualify.I consider myself lucky because I never had to cook, clean, wash dishes,do laundry, etc. except for certain days when we give our helpers their days off.We had our fair share of good ones and nasty ones.Abuses are part of the packages. You're bound to come across a bad helper from time to time.We also have some very loyal ones whose families are almost like our own. They live in our subdivision for free so it's quite easy for us to get workers.Still, we give them their due when they work for us.We are not so strict and they know that my family is very considerate.Getting them to work for us is more of an aid on our part to enable them to have food on their tables.Though we do not need so many helpers, still we maintain 1 cook,1 laundrywoman,1 who irons,1 who cleans, and nannies for my nieces just so we can provide more jobs and help more people.

I know it's tough.Despite having helpers, we are very much able to carry out household chores if the need arises.

we used to have a helper before. but we change them frequently due to a lot of issues. most of them cannot be trusted. others bring friends along to our house. it's just so maddening. so now, we don't hire any of those anymore.

We have helpers at home as well but they're not as lazy as the ones in your employ. They come from an agency so I think they received some training prior to joining our household. Sometimes we give them the day off. It's only actually a half day off because they have chores to finish in the morning. I think we're lucky to have helpers at home. I can't imagine cooking and cleaning myself! I'm the only girl at home aside from my mother so I'm sure I'll need to work if we lost our helpers.

Some time she is late my wife is angry and some time she did not turn up and we have to spoil or mood and to clean at least two bed rooms and drawing room which we generally use. These maid community are headache one. We have changed many and they are well paid with food and tea etc. but they use to cheat. This is a big problem. How with you please comment.

We've heard horror stories of maids ill-treating the babies or the old people (this is extreme!) or minor cases of theft, laziness, stupidity and so forth. And there's the communication issue - some of them can't speak even basic English. So we are rather wary of employing maids.
It's also about privacy and security. It takes time to know a person, so before you trust her totally, you'd have to watch over her, and bring her everywhere you go.
I just don't feel comfortable with a stranger in the house; so I definitely will not consider a maid.

I wish I had a helper or a maid. I need alot of help with keeping house and cooking. My husband and I were just talking about that the other day about how nice it would be to have a maid help us out around the house. But at this point we don't have the finances for a maid right now.

I totally sympathize with you.
My family is really good towards people we hire, especially maids, since most of them usually left home to travel far just to work for us. To say the truth, being a maid in a foreign country is one of the least desirable, not to mention, the maid agencies and government took away most of their salary we pay... From there, my family gave our maids additional salary.
Some of our maids not only do not appreciate that at first, and yet, they were lazy and left some important tasks undone, and that got me really angry. I shouted at them, explaining their situation and stuffs... and finally they got it through their head, and did everything by the next day...
I know it is good to be all polite, kind and stuffs, but you also need to be strict with them once in a while. If you fail to be strict, they might take advantage of you and stuffs like that.
Hope you find solution to it like I did...

I'm a college student so I live in two places during the year. Part of the year I live in an apartment where a cleaning lady comes in every other week to mop, vacuum and clean the bathroom and some of the kitchen. She however does not clean up dishes or take out trash. So, we still have to clean up some things. However I don't mind as I don't need to worry about cleaning 100 different things while I'm doing something else.
Now, when I am at home, we're on our own. We don't have a maid or a helper to clean the house and it seems like I'm the only person at home that will actually clean up anything which gets annoying. Everyone else just sits around and watches TV and messes everything up.

Yeah Me , Myself and I ... to bad they are all me lol .
In our country this is not something you hear about unless the person is rich and I don't know anyone personally that has someone come and help out . I heard on t.v once where in one country after a baby was born they had someone come and help out and I thought that was really neat , here you have a baby and you come home to do everything yourself because your husband has to work and there is no one else to help .
Although I don't know that I would like someone in my house all the time to help out probably because I would not be used to this at all and find that I can do a better job when getting someting done . I have my own order and my own way of doing things and wouldn't want someone coming in and doing it differently although there are times that it sure would be nice to have some extra help :)

When my son was younger I had a live in nanny that took care of the clean as well as tended to the baby during the day when I was working. He is 9 now so I dont need full time care for him.
I now just have someone that comes in to clean on a weekly basis, which works since it is just my son and I.
Occassionally when my schedule is overwhelming for weeks at a time, I have a college student that steps in as a PA on a as needed basis.

I used to have a maid in my house. I was a kid back then but now that i have grown up I remember how she treated me and it makes me angry. I was so innocent and dumb back then _. Anyways she used to tell me that i couldn't watch T.V because it was bad and blah blah, and some lame excuse but the truth was that she wanted to watch her (/Q=(/"= shows ._______.
Yeah i hated her a lot lol........
As for helpers. Recently on the place where i work, one of the workers (whom i trusted alot) stole ALOT, of cash from the place, many stuff that he sold later. Well thing is we caught him and fired him.
Anyways, you just need to be careful as to whom you hire to work for you. It's important ^^

we used to have a maid before when my mom was still teaching as a Biology teacher... my mom kicked her out from the house because she broke into my aunt's room and robbed her gold jewelries... from then on, we never gt another maid... its really hard to trust other people whom you really don't know...
