do you care the star color with your user name on mylot?

well, sometimes. with that, I can assess if I am doing good here in mylot. because as we all know, stars are the ratings given to by the other mylotter.

Initially i was quite excited about reaching the blue star, but after soem time, it dropped to red and i thought it's ok, it will go up again someday, but i din really expect it to keep fluctuating, till i dun really care about it now.. Because it's easy to reach the blue star, but it's hard to maintain it there.. haha ^_^ SO whatever it is, i only hope to maintain it at red, if i cant have it blue ^_^

I don't pay much attention to my star but think I would be disappointed and would wonder what I was doing wrong if the color changed . We strive so hard in life to have things perfect that I think we carry this to other areas of our lives as well . Even after all this time I am not sure what the color of the star is really for but have noticed that blue is the best color one can have . I am not sure what makes a star one color or what makes it another color , I did think it was based on your discussions but I have answered a few of yours and find from the one's I have see that they are well thought out . I seldom even notice it. I don't think it really means all that much, it just takes one person to give you bad marks to make it change so i just ignore it for the most part.

Yes I do in fact I really care a lot because having the color numbered star is like being famous and respected here in mylot. More users will agree more to you and believe your comments because of your reputation.Cheers!

Hello my friend... I really am not conscious about my star. It's nice that I have a blue star and I hope to keep it that way. But if there ever comes a time when it'll go down, I wouldn't mind overly much because my main focus would still be on giving out my opinions on the different discussions here on MyLot. I don't care about it. I think the star can't really reflect your real reputation here. Some people just like to rate others' posts negative anyway. This is why I say the reputation star has no more meaning. I love China

Yes i do care, and i would probably have a blue star now if mylot did not have any trolls registered here. They are a type of people that have nothing better but to destroy other people's work.

i really don't mind about the star ratings i have.. for me i'm for fun.. i enjoy reading & giving my comments.. i find it more interesting than plain chatting in some chat rooms.. sometimes i learn new ideas here at mylot especially in my area of interest like computers & internet.. happy mylotting..

[b]when i first got the star beside my user name, i feel proud for reaching that...i felt a lil' sad when my ranking did go down...although im trying to catch it up again but then i know it's impossible since i rarely have time here in mylot, unlike the first month i joined here...im too busy at work and in the house...i'm working for 8 hours, then, have to fetch my child at school, have to visit my small biz, and too many stuffs to do...but as long as i have a time to visit mylot, at least post some discussion and respond to my friends discussion, that's now ok with me, unlike others that rarely visit mylot...at least im handling my time to all the stuffs i have to do with... Hi friend,When I got the star I had only 5 rating and next it came to 6 and 7 and directly to 9 and now 10.Only today I got the 10 in my star.I felt very happy when I got the blue star.Slowly from 5 I have reached 10,so am happy.Thanks for sharing.Happy mylotting.

of course i do!! and guess what i have lost that star two times!!! and i am trying hard to get it back!!! but it is also impossible to respond to each and every discussion with about more than 5lines!!! its really hard!!

Yes,I have the same mood with you,the star color is a encouragement for mylotters,everybody wants to have a higher rank and a blue star. no pay ,no gain .Right ??my friend ,let's work together to our higher goal.

Hi dear It doesn't really matter. We all have our own standard and that cannot be decided by the whims of the users here. At first I really don't care at all until I read somewhere here that the star is your reputation and ever since then I am trying my best to increase my reputation by posting quality responses. Slowly, I am achieving it since I've increased my reputation to 4 points already. I want my star to be number 9 too so I have to post with quality more.

You are not that far away from blue again. I just + you!!! Now to your question. Let me say I do NOT care what number is in my star, but I don't care for some of the ugly colors they chose. Personally I think ALL starts should be blue or maybe white & twinkle. Since some people get so much pleasure from lowering other's stars, it would NOT hurt my feelings if they just did away with them all together!!!

now i still don't have a star,i will care too,it is a kind of achievement if you get a high degree star.but i don't think that is the most important ,our joining and sharing to know so many people and their culture is the most important,we need to cherish the chance to be here!

i would be a hypocrite if i would tell you i don't mind the star rating beside my username. lol. but to be honest, i've never been aware of this until i reached my 2nd week here. at 1st i got a best response & it made me feel great i was able to repond to what was the concern & that i was able to help. from there i saw a green star (i forgot the corresponding #) & checked on the do's & don'ts as well as read a lot more info & discussions about that rating. although it's not yet that clear to me of how it will greatly affect but nonetheless it mainly serves the purpose of reputation, how you answer to discussions. i saw my rating from green to red and as i've said i am proud of myself of gettign this rating. this is why i love mylot, other forums don't have this certain ratings. & indeed apart from the reputation you get from others is the respcet you get from yourself. it's a pat on the back for getting a job well because you have helped another mylotter & an earning for you. but as i;ve always said & will always stick to what i believe, there's no amount of money or reputation will equate to the happiness you give to others. happy mylotting my friend!
