I have raised both sons and daughters so from my experience nether one is better than the other. My oldest daughter is in constant contact with me. The younger one I haven't heard from for over a year and she hasn't given me her telephone number. My sons are as different as night and day. There is no perfect answer because every child is different and reacts differently. Sometimes a daughter will be willing to care for a parent and sometimes it is the son that will step up and care for an aging parent. So there is no perfect answers for this issue.

It's the experience which you are sharing with all of us here. But considering society on a whole what conclusions can be made.

Such a conflicting issue...however, I would say that there isn't any perfect answer for this issue simply because each person is different from each other. I have 2 brothers and I'm the only daughter but my mom thinks that he'd highly benefit from his sons that's why she believes sons are better. In our culture daughters are what they would say payments for debts or past mistakes. I on the other hand think differently I have both son and daughter and they are two different individuals who are best in different things...both are very intelligent but my son is sweet and caring to me...my daughter on the other hand wants to help in the responsibilities of taking care of his brother. So you see there really isn't any perfect answers.

I am blessed with two sons, And, so, as the saying goes, "a bird in the hand is better than two in the bush." LOLS. so, I would select the point on SON.

I agree, daughters pay more attention to take care parent. In China people dote on son very much, so lots of boys need to grow up althought they have worked.

i don't really know. i mean, i was a daughter and i have sons. so i can't really say. i know they say girls are easier to raise earlier in life, but later they become a handful. i know i was. boys are hard at the beginning but are not as bad as girls while teens. so i'd guess you'd say they both balance each other out. that's why i wanted to have both, but alas...2 boys still. well, third times a charm!

Though it is a debatable topic i wont come to a conclusion when ever this topic arises in fr4ont of me,because we cant decide in the way who is better. There are several reasons to say that a girl is better responded than a boy in many cases and at the same time there are some other reasons to say that boys are far better than girls in some situations.
I will prove this with an example each.
When girls are concerned they are very good care takers.Care takers in the sense as a daugther, mother, friend and sister when compared to boy/son.
when boys are concerned they will help the parents especially in taking care of their properties and keep going with them.girls can also do that ,but at some times only boys can do where girls cant do that like the situation for going camps indivijually which cant be done by girls.
I'm not against to your opinion, but i think it is the fact
