when shopping do you prefer paper or plastic?

Well since your post reuseable bags have become more common as grocery stores will give you a .05 credit for bringing yours in to use.
I agree I do prefer a mix of both forms. I like to use the paper ones for my recycling items as well as making caramel corn in it. Though I also like using the plastic ones for garbage bags, though they are small, why pay for big bags if you have some small ones you can use?

I have to say living in Scotland I prefer plastic since it rains a lot. I don't drive so whenever I'm out I have to walk from the shop to the train station and when I get off at my stop, from the train station to the house. During the course of that trip home a paper bag is usually soaked through with a great chance of ripping. That is the reason I prefer plastic, but I do recycle the plastic bags so I don't feel bad taking them.

i like the good old paper bags, with handles though. They dont use them as much as they used to in the older days though hahah. Its enviromental friendly too, which is an added bonus.
