As many of you already know, my son has Cerebral Palsy. He is due to have surgery next week to change his baclofen pump. I really hope it goes smoothly. It should be pretty simple, but you never know. The baclofen pump is used to reduce his high muscle tone and prevent cramps and improve mobility. Please pray that everything goes well. Thanks.

Your son will be in my prayers. I know firsthand how stressful it is to have a child in surgery, it was only an emergency appendectomy but even though you know the risk is minimal, you think the worst.

You know, we forget, perhaps it is time to pray for his doctors and surgeons as well. They hold so much of our life in their hands, at all times. Most of them appreciate the extra care and prayers.

we have to leave at 3 in the morning for the surgery. Have to be there at 6. I will let everyone know how he did as soon as we get home. That will probably be Friday.

Of course I will keep your son in my prayers, Thoroughrob! I was unaware of his condition before now. Stay strong, my friend.

I will pray for your son: may his surgery be painless and his recovery swift. I will pray for you: may you feel peace throughout the procedure and afterwards. I will pray for his doctors: may their hands be skilled and gentle. I will pray for his nurses: may they be kindhearted and able to devote to him as much time as he needs. I will pray for your friends and family: may their mouths be full of kind words and their hands be occupied with kind gestures (like delivering you dinner the night of the surgery--even if you have time, you could use the break!) Let us know how it goes!

I will be keeping him in my prayers that the surgery will go well and that he has a quick recovery. I'm also praying that Mom and Dad have an easy time of it too. With him having the surgery scheduled I know it's still stressful until it's all over with and he's safely out of surgery and all. Please let us know how it went and keep in touch.

I hope by the time you get this the surgery has happened and all went well. I have said a prayer for all involved.
I hope he is home and healthy and the pump is working fine with no infections. Good luck go all involved. I send my prayers.

I just hope things go as smooth as the last one. He did so good with it. Things just have not been going so well here lately. It seems like everything we do backfires on us, but you know how that goes.
