Why do you always ask?

Just want to know. Why do you always ask a question to create a discussion? Is there any way we could create one without asking a question?

Yes. We can start a discussion without asking questions. I guess alot of people think they will get more responses if someone will actually answer the question at hand.

I think that theres really no way around it in all discussions your asking for someone elses opinion about that topic or asking for more information. In one way or another all of the starting discussions on here are questions in my opinion. all of these responces are just answers to the questions or other sub questions. I hope im making sence its pretty late and im a little tired LOL.

You can always make a statement and eave it as such. But the invisible question of what do you think of this will always hang there. So it doesnt matter if you ask it in a question from or the other forms it is suppo9sed to be answered so it it is always taken as a question.

I guess there is no reason why we can't start a discussion without asking a question. I think the main reason most of us put questions into our discussion, is because we want others to respond.

Well in my case, most of the discussion I started now started with a question. When you start a discussion with a question, it would be easy for other members to reply. In teaching philosophy, a question is a good way in order for a child to speak out the idea, he can't speak and the question will lead them to answer it. I hope you know what I mean. But still we can create a discussion without asking a question. I even tried it and so far I got many responses there.
