I am an asst manager in a retail store. To all consumers here's a of things we have to deal with .
1) I am not a druggest... so I can't tell you which meds are best.
2) when you return a xx pair of pants I have to bite my lip when you tell me that the sizes run too small it must be a missed matched label.
3) when you get on line and I am ringing up your order and there are 6 people behind you PLEASE don't say oooopssss I forgot 1 thing and run around the store for an extra 5 min picking up a few things .
4) Don't complain about the prices, you know what things cost today I am in no mood to defend the prices .. I am sorry if you can get them somewhere else cheaper then please do go to that store, we must be doing something right for you to keep coming back.
5) Please put on socks when trying on a pair of shoes, and when I ask you don't look at me like I have 4 heads.
6)Stop asking for a discount , heck I don't even get one , we all have to pay the price.
7) I am not a vet , I can't tell you why your dog bites the hair off his paw, go to a vet and find out
8) when you see me trying to help a consumer don't keep saying Miss Miss, be polite and wait untill I am done helping this person then I will gladly help you .
People should relize what its like to deal with the public in a work place.

Oh Lafemcrafts I have worked with the public many different times. unreal!!! is all I can say.. Most folks were nice and pleasant but the others are JUST like you said!
I can't believe how many folks think that they can what how much they have instead of how much they owe! ***funny***
I got to hand it is you, because I know that it is just like your saying.,... and worse at times...

Hey LouiseKnittel Nice to hear from you as awlays .. It's not easy .. you always have to watch what you say , act pleasent but your stomach wants to puke.. LOL don't get me wrong we have alot of really sweet regular consumers... its the ones who think they are all that and a bag of chips.. but all in all I do love my job, I love making things neat and clean .. my boss calls me anal annie LOL but she loves the way I am all in all .. I wish some people would look in the miror and say yea I do all that .. but why? there is no cause for them to act the way they do .. if the shoe were on the other foot they would see the light .. maybe LOL

exactly...there is one in every crowd .. we all know that .. but sad to say .. i get 99.9% of the promblems from the woman .. not the men.. thanks for posting

A list such as this should be posted at the entry door of every store. Maybe all those rude people would get the idea! Of course they would always say "That's not me. I don't do those things" and continue through the store doing such things anyway. I really don't envy you your job. Dealing with the public is hard. Thanks for bringing this to our attention! Thank you so much for your responce .. this story is a good one .. each morning we get a message of whats on sale price changes etc.. well one of the sales were school supplies .. 25 % off .. once I read the message I made the proper changes.. a woman came in the store and bought about 3.00 in supplies but the register did not make the price change.. we are not allowed to key in the prices anymore .. I explained this to the woman and told her headquarters more then likly has not registered the new price change .. I would have to take the sign down untill its fixed and I would call my district manger as well. I offered to void the items out . she said no I really need them ok then .. she asked me fot headquarts main number I gave it to her .. she asked for my name I gave it to her .. again I told her I was sorry for for the misunderstanding. well 1 hour later she came back and returned all the items.. I am gathering headquarters told her the same thing I did .. this woamn would have saved only about 55 cents... unreal .. with all the fuss she put up with me and then returned it all . She told me I should give her the sale price.. again I said there is no written law that says we have to do that .. its the consumer who ASSUMES.. and we all know what that means.. I am a sale hunter no doubt but it is what it is .. its not the employees fault its headquarters who is not getting the changes done on time .. and I still manage to smile ..:)

i love that! i used to deal with a lot of that working with elderly and they can be down right hateful mean about things. you poor girl, i bet you get get insulted to and its not even that much money

thanks for posting... I truly belive in killing people with kindness... when they act in a manor that you have to watch your choice of words .. use kindness they don't know how to react like that .. ( as I bite my lip ) lol thanks for the post.. have a grat day
