Are any of you (in USA) confused about who to vote for this election? I don't think I like either candidate for the presidency! We really need more political parties here in the US, and not just for casting of excess votes, but for the actual debates! We only allow two parties into the debates....why couldn't we include more? I think a lot of the voter apathy here is due to too few choices....

Oh, I'm definately confused. And this sucks because since I was eighteen and started voting, I've always voted democrat. Until now (or I may still. I'm not sure yet). I don't like either candidates. I personally usually write down what I feel strongly about and then find the candidate who believes in most of them and vote for them (before now it was always democrat.) I'm just really concerned with so many promises obama has been making and his lack of experience. McCain, I don't like because I'm pro-choice and pro-gay marriages. I'm going to do more research and hopefully have a decision by election time.

Well, depends on your views I suppose. If you were me, a liberal, pro-environment, hate anything that Bush has done for this country, cannot stand the fact that they allow our government and constitution to be swayed by religious beliefs, think the war in Iraq is a sham Democrat. Then I would strongly recommend Obama. I was just reading yesterday about McCain's running mate Palin...its actually quite funny because this whole time McCain has tried to make the point that Obama lacks enough political experience. Meanwhile, he has just elected the governor of Alaska (what major political event, other than the recent oil drilling fiasco, ever goes on in Alaska) and she has only been governor for two years! So essentially a woman who has been in charge of running a state who's population rivals that of El Paso, Texas (and for only two years no less) is now a heartbeat away from becoming our next president. On top of that, as I mentioned earlier, she is FOR the destruction of the National parks of her own home state in order to drill for oil. She also believes that abortion should be illegal, no matter the circumstances. She has even made statements saying that she would like to enact laws that would LIMIT the protection of g-y people's rights! And just as the cherry on top of it all, she is now being investigated by her own state for abuse of power (she tried having her brother-in-law fired from the Alaska State Troopers so that her sister would stand a greater chance of winning their kids in a custody dispute). All I can say is, if McCain kicked the bucket in the White House, I would already be heading for the Canadian border, because if Palin had her way, we may even see portraits of the Virgin Mary hanging from the Congress walls.

Yeah, I do agree with you that Obama might be the lesser of two evils- but Obama has skeletons of his own (like his missing birth certificate- is this guy even a born US citizen?). I do think McCain would take us back in time, along with his cohort Palin- but at least our tax spending would decrease a bit. McCain has a really impressive life history, especially his experiences in the Vietnam War. His wife does nursing work in some really harsh backwash countries. And Palin at least has a son in the War on Iraq, who is in harm's way. Anyway, thanks for your response!

No,I'm not confused at all i will not be voting this election season because Obama and the DNC decided that Hillary Clinton wasn't good enough to be their "Veep" what a boneheaded decision on their part while McCain seen the error of their ways and made a brillant choice by choosing Gov.Palin it's a no brainer here who to vote for if I was going to vote I would vote for the candidate who made the best decision in their choice for "VP".
