Hello Anshika
It was a time when I wanted the latest mobile phone but I realized that the purpose of a mobile phone is to call and receive calls not to send messages or take pictures. I prefer to call some one than to send him/her a message and if I want to take pictures I buy a camera that can take excellent photos and there so small now.
Maybe I'm old fashion how knows. If you purchased a iPhone that's great but it isn't for me.
The price. Apple has a great marketing team, they started so much vibe about the iPhone that they could sell it with $1000 and people will still buy it like crazy.
I have read earlier a discussion started by some one that is living in India and he payed 3 times the price of the iPhone from the US. Marketing team rules.
Take care and have a great day

It does somewhat depend on which iPhone generation you're talking about. The 3G iPhone, although cheaper in terms of the phone cost, is actually more expensive when you factor in the cost of the mandatory service plans.
I know how everyone else is talking about missing features, but honestly, one of the two most most commonly missing features (mms and copy+paste) can easily be remedied with by a future firmware update.

The original iphone was pants and totally over hyped up, i didn't even have some of the basic functions that much older mobile have such as mms which is ridiculous for a phone that was supposed to be the best things since sliced bread, i'm surprised they made any sales to be honest but i guess the touch screen was the thing everyone wanted. I dont know about the new treated versions but i hope they've made much improvements otherwise the iphone will be in gadget heaven along with the ford probe and the sinclair c5

Definitely hyped up. Nothing really special than any other phones nowadays. Many phones have the same thing now anyways.
