Which do you prefer sunsets or sunrises? I live in the country now and we get fabulous sunsets and some I have photographed. But when I lived in London we hardly ever had a good sunset I suppose that is because one cannot see to low owing to the high buildings and all the traffic pollution. These days I am never up early enough to see the sunrise!!

Yes, sunset is really beautiful, that is, when the weather is kind to us. I am living out in the middle of the countryside and I can see the sunset to the right of my back garden. In summer, I like to sit out and watch the sun as it disappears from sight and like you, I have taken many photographs although they don't show the true beauty of the sunset.

I suppose we all get times when we have no sunset or sunrise, well its there but we can't see it for the clouds. Here in the UK we have had so much rain that its good to see the natural elements of the world working at times. Thanks for your post.

I prefer the sunsets. I do not like alot of bright light in my eyes. the sun is so pretty when it sets in the evening sometimes also. It is different colors at times. I work evenings and nights and some morning hours so I get to see it all every day of the week.

If you are as lucky as me Steph. you see some wonderful sunsets. As I said earlier as I'm retired the days of me rising to see the sunrise are long gone!! Thanks for viewing.

sunsets - a picture of a sunset I took
I really like both sunrises and sunsets, but I think I like a sunset a little more. They seem to have more color and I do see a lot more of them. Here is a picture of a sunset that I took.

Thats a lovely 'piccie' and I sometimes think how nice it would be to put those colours on to canvas but I'm no painter. The reds, blues and hues are fantastic aren't they. Thanks for your visit.

Sunrises and sunsets are the same to me. Well, visually anyway, I feel more peaceful when I watch a sunset because it's an ending. I'm not a morning person so I feel sleep deprived when the sun comes up. And sunrises are kind of depressing because it signifies a start to a new day. Other than this they both are pretty much the same, just in reverse.

Oh I don't feel depressed by the sunset. I just think that its a lovely finish to a good day. Perhaps I should get up a little earlier to see the sunrise and be thankful I did wake up!! Thanks for looking in.

I prefer sunsets. I am in a loft room and have a nice view out of my window. Of course, the light pollution is such that the sky is orange and pink, but I don't mind that. I think that if I lived in the country I would prefer sunrises, but I like my personal view here. The light passes between some pylon lines and makes them look like staves.

I live in the country and I have a good view over farm land and the colours of the sunsets are fantastic. Tonight it was a little cloudy but the sun reflected of them magnificently. Gorgeous. Thanks for posting.
