anything online to speed your computer up?

my computer slows down sometimes and i have heard that you don't always have to add memory and things like that to speed it up that you can go online and download things that will speed it up and that sometimes its free and i thought that this was really good and that it had a lot of potential for something that i wanted and needed for my computer and i was just wondering about all of you, have you ever heard of anything like this for your computer that is online that you can download or something like that and if you have do you have a website and how has it worked with you and i don't know if it will help or not but i have vista basic...thanks for taking the time out of your day to stop by and read and review my discussion and i hope that you reply to my discussion and i hope that you all had a great day and that you have a great night tonight, once again thanks for taking the time!

Hi, it is true that you can speed up your computer without adding additional memory. However, I wouldn't recommend downloading anything from the Internet in order to speed up your computer! I just want to ask you, what operating system are you using? There are a few things you can try if you haven't tried them already. I don't have vista myself, I have windows xp. If you have windows xp then there are a few things that I can recommend for you. Let me know. Good luck Andrew

I think virus causes slow down the computer speed. For this we can opt for disc cleaning. Some difference is there. If ou want to increase the speed of your computer, than opt for increasing the ram it will boost the speed. Alternatively you can contact some technician.

Well I really don't trust about that downloads to speed up your connection because I already tried it and I end up with the friendly virus called trojan and it really gave me big work because I need to reformat again and reinstall some program so I were you,I better upgrade my ram because if you have small ram then your opening lots of application one at a time then there is a big possibility that your computer will hang and slow and yeah it's true because I experienced that,What I did is I uprgraded my ram into 1 gig and yeah the performance is good now.But if you really want some download stuff well I can recommend you the tune up utilities 2008 because it's really working good for me and partner it with Nod32 antivirus because it's not using large amount of memory.:-0 Let me know if you have further questions.:-0 God bless and have a nice day.:-0

Well there are programs online like catalysts that claim to make your computer super fast but you should stay away from those because they mess it up later. You should get more memory and ram and then your pc will be faster.

To be very Frank Windows Vista Basic is completely waste, you can use any Windows 98 to Windows Gold Edition Service pack 3 Operating Systems,it works, Because with Vista Basic you will not find any Advanced Vista Features and even it will observe & utilise your RAM upto MAXimum which is no use so try to Change Operating System because Vista Basic is just a starter......or Even with Vista Basic Try to Clean C: Drive .I meant to say temporary Dowload.., Old Compressed files, etc ..and try to analise if it works better and let me know if you have any difficulty

Joseph already mention CCleaner an excellent crap cleaner and I believe it work with vista. I personally don't use internet speed enhancers applications, with the current speed of broadband or DSL these days I honestly believe one could go without it. There are just times in the day that internet speed are somewhat draggy, sometimes a change in schedule is enough. To run vista means your rig is fast so I guest you won't be needing any hardware upgrade there yet.)

Well, I don't know about online ways to speed up your computer. I do have a prgram I downloaded called RegistryFix. That clears up most of the stuf that you don't want on your computer. So far it's found viruses, unwanted cookies, and unusual and hidden programs and deleted them for me. And after it does the search you have the option to delete everything that it found. In the end it cleared up some space on my computer. I suggest you give it a try.

Hi,Its true that computer speed can be Improved without adding any memory but its not necessary to download anything online because when you download you will get lot of Virus and other Unwanted stuff which slows down the computer.you can do few things to improve the speed like Doing a Clean boot, Deleting temp,prefetch and make sure you have lot of space on the C Drive.
This will surely Improve the speed
