Have you ever had the feeling of being IN THE ZONE while playing golf?

Have you ever felt like you were in the zone? There are times when I've played golf with 2 or 3 other people. I can talk with the other people, ....but my concentration is so deep, and the involvement in the game is so intense, .....and my shots are crisp, ...my putts are lined up well, .....and my chipping is good. Unfortunately, ,,,,that sense of "flow" is not always there. And concentration seems to be somehow part of it.
Have any of you had the feeling? Can you describe it? walkgal
ps I'm a 63 year old woman. I shot an 82 the other day on an 18 hold, quite tough course while feeling this way. Generally I play nine and shoot a 45, or 46 for 9.
Occasionally I'll shot a 43. So you can see how the feeling makes such a difference.
I play better golf than I did when I was 18, or 27. I'm not sure what has happened. hm.....

yes i have felt that. but only in terms of ball striking. i feel as though i can hit the ball down the middle most of the time. funny thing is, when im in the zone i don't usually score as well as when im just playing ok. If you can just get up and down around the greens you end up having a pretty good day regardless of the rest of your game.

The way you describe "being in the zone" is alot like when Tiger Woods putted a marvellous hole in the Masters I recall. But yes, there are times when I'm playing golf that I seem to know that I will hit the fairway, or putt on the green.
