if my new website design looks ok? I am trying to get away from cutesy and go with a more professional look. All I'm looking for is a few replies if my site looks somewhat professional, or way too amateurish. TIA http://www.onegirlscloset.com

I guess that would have been helpful, lol. The old one had a pink/black theme and looked more like a newspaper. (the layout)

I think that's an excellent website to start a business.

Wow, its looking great alright, I just notice from my side that the picture takes time to load, when I've check the picture property it is huge 200+KB, it should less than 50kb. Better resize your picture so that it takes a short time to load giving your visitor a pleasant viewing experience.

Thanks for pointing that out. I'll definitely have to optimize that photo.

it looks okey. it's more of a businesslike professional thingy. It doesn't look amateurish. And the color red looks good too, not the kind of red that hurts the eye. And in chinese, red is a lucky color. good luck.

Thank you. I know what you mean about some reds being hard on the eye! Hopefully it will be lucky for me! It's not a money making site, it's more to help other people, so hopefully some of that karma will come back to me. :)

I think it looks very professional, great job!! Who designed your site, btw? I'm asking because I would love to have my own website look that professionally done! Just now my site is a work-in-progress, and was designed by my webmistress and assistant so it's better than no website to publish my monthly magazine from. Oh my, I forgot to tell you that when I checked out your site I saw at the very top (on the left-hand side) your "Home" link is broken! But I'm sure that can be fixed... just figured I'd point that out so your designer can fix the broken link; my webmistress is forever fixing broken links :)

I design all my websites. It's just a hobby, I'm definitely no pro, but I enjoy the challenge of bettering myself each time! I noticed the "home" link as well and the funny thing is, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't so I haven't figured out how to fix it. But at least now I know that others see it too!
