UTM is the oldest public engineering and technology university in Malaysia. The university specialises in technical studies, with separate faculties for education, pure science, management and human resources development. It is the country major source of graduate engineers and similar professional. Since 1990s, the number of foreign students particularly from neighboring Asian countries, the Middle East, and Africa has been increasing especially in post graduate programs. Vision: To be a world-class centre of academic and technological excellence through creativity. Mission: To lead in the development of creative human resource and technology in line with the aspirations of the nation. Motto: IN THE NAME OF GOD FOR MANKIND
