Does anybody believe in the power of prayer? What works?

I believe in the power of prayer. But, if you pray and you have negative thoughts while you pray does God hear you? I am praying for my daughter to not have precancerous cells that will have to be removed, but I find myself having thoughts that she will. How can block out the negative thoughts when I pray and think all positive thoughts? Has anybody prayed and that prayer was answered?

I do believe in the power of prayer, cuz I have so many answered prayers already, and I believe that if you pray hard enough and it's from the heart, God will give you what your heart desires, bout that negative thoughts that your having, that's normal cuz you don't want anything bad for your child, just have faith, always remember God works in ways we can not see... I'll be praying for daughter. I hope she's ok. Hope to hear from you soon... God bless...

Thank you for your response, ivylicious. You are so right prayers are answered in mysterious ways. My daughter did have some precancerous cells but it turned out they were the low grade cells and she had surgery this past Thursday to remove them. The doctor did the procedure in the office and she has done really well with not much pain since. She will go back in two weeks to find out if they were able to remove all of them. If they were able to, then she will go back and be checked every 6 months. I do believe in the power of prayer. You have a nice day.

I strongly believed with the power of prayer...prayer is proven to us., when my mother is suffering from a intestine cancer, we keep on praying, that do not let our mom suffer too much, that time our thoughts are negative, we're hopeless... But we still keep on praying, and our prayer has been answered. Our faith keep my mom healthy until now.Nothing's impossible if we just believe in God.

Thank you for your response, myramae19. I find it hard at time to keep on praying when I feel that God isn't listening. I try to find the strength to keep on praying. God works in his own way.
