Do you still find chatting that interesting?

I used to chat a lot when computer and internet was first introduced to me.Chatting,emails and how to surf net was the first thing I learn and knew about.I had lots of online friends,some I had met and still maintaining good friendship,some are just strangers.I had left chatting on net long back but suddenly, yesterday, I was getting so bored and I thought,why not chat for a while,I went to one site and I was in a room for "friends",guess what I find it so boring,I don't even want to type and say "hi" and immediately I log out.I guess,my interest in chatting is gone completely and now,I cannot get over with myLot.MyLot is worth than chatting with strangers.What about you?

I guess you could say we are chatting when we participate in a discussion here in mylot. So I guess I am chatting sometimes still.

I never really got into the whole chatting online thing, I have tried a few times but I get fed up of it pretty quick, I just like to do other things I guess. If I go on facebook I never put myself online because I just get bombarded, so I only talk to people through the messages. I do prefer talking on here to anywhere else it is just a lot better and I do not get mithered too much by people wanting to talk for hours!

definitely! hehehe..i tried chatting using MIRC long time ago and i feel that i was not totally being myself... i was trying to holdon to my anononymity and i am not sure if the other person is too. also with chatting with friends, it's very enjoyable and i find that time flies by... i use yahoo messenger to do so. how about you?

Chatting with with known friends and acquaintances is not at all boring, but login into chat rooms and chatting is very boring for me unless I find someone who is interesting to chat with and share my thoughts and ideas.Happy myLotting my friend!

Yup,my friend.In net,when we are chatting we need to keep our identity secret,not to disclose our personal details to anyone,and as for me I cannot start off a discussion or conversation with anyone,be it anybody lying,nor I can pretend to be somebody else.While chatting with strangers we don't know the other person is telling us the truth or pretending to be somebody else,so we really need to be careful too.Therefore,family,friends and relatives,I prefer to chat with them more.It is easy to keep in touch with them through net.It is cheap and it is cost effective.I used skype and yahoo both.Happy myLotting my friend and keep posting!

Well, I don't find it boring if I'm going to chat with my real life friends but online friends or virtual friends, that for me is boring unless I'm chatting here in mylot. At least here in mylot, I get to earn by chatting and the discussions is much much more interesting than just plain chatting in a chatroom.
Still, regardless of whether its with real life or online friends, communication is important to make a bond with a person. And if one prefers to make online friends real then, communication is a must and that wouldn't be boring for him or for her.

Yup,chatting with real life friends is not at all a bore.We know them personally and we can share our thoughts and feelings about life,but when it is chat friends and a stranger,our conversation has its limit when it comes to sharing things that is happening around in our lives and about our details.I agree,communication is necessary when we want to know about a person,but only if I find that other person interesting and not talking non sense.Good day!

I am much more interesting with MyLot because I am learning and practiced with my 2nd language which is English and then I am also learning a lot of new ideas and culture with other people as well and then earning an extra bucks of dollar is also an advantage but i did not stop chatting but not in the chatting room but it is only for my family especially for my Mother and to my children back there home in the Philippines......

You bet you shouldn't trust anyone just like that.Specially in chat rooms,it is not safe.We don't know a person when we are in chat rooms,we don't even know what he/she is in real world.They can be some criminal minded people too.One can chat for fun but beware of strangers.Happy myLotting!

yup i find it interesting if the person to whom i m responding is good for me i have many friends across the globe n wen the problem arises v get together by cell or by watever means n help to sort it out c trust is the main factor its better to have a cam 2 cam chat n chat wid him/her at least 3 to 5 times a week thats it

Well, it is not necessary that we can find only bad people on net as friends but yes, there are few nice people too who are really interested in making good friendship.Like you said,it is interesting when the person with whom you are chatting is good and willing to cary on with good friendship.In cam we can sit, see and chat face to face which is good.Atleast you know with what kind of person you are talking to, if not more.Good day!

I do not like chatting at all. Instead, if someone is known to me, I prefer communicating through e-mails. Chatting appears quite boring and tedious to me. I find not fun in chatting, instead I would surf new and different sites to enhance my knowledge.

I do not like chatting to strangers. So i avoid chatting mostly. If it is someone whom i already know then that is not a problem.

I have never really gotten into chatting other than in mylot and other forums that I
got paid for it. I guess you could call this chatting, especially if someone
comments on your response and the conversation goes on for awhile, I guess that is still
chatting.
But other than that, I don't do any chatting online. I talk to my husband and other
family members by email, so I guess that too could be considered chatting.
I don't think I would like to just chat with strangers other than here. What would be
the point?

I only chat with friends that I know and I do enjoyed it. I haven't done chatting online before and I just start doing it a few months ago and like I said I only chat with friends. And to be honest I don't know much about computer and the only thing I do before is sending mail, lol. Have a nice weekend, brisk.

Well, when internet started, I don't even know what exactly it was.Then, I did some computer course and came to know about how to surf online.I must say, I find it interesting.Chatting was one of the step that I had learnt,then email.I got so much addicted to chatting then slowly I got bored in no time.I chat but just like you only with my relatives and friends.No chat rooms.Good day!

that's true when the things are very new that time only we get attracted to it and enjoy, about chatting I also feel the same, it has really became bored yes it's better to join some forum and My lots where you will get the knowledge and earn some dollars too than spending the time talking with the strangers.

I have the similar experience. I think it is because we are more busy than before and dont want to waste time in looking for the talkable person.
And the beginning of the conversation is quite similar we dont want do the same thing again and again.

Hello friend, sorry for such late response.Actually I was too caught up with work and no time for mylotting.I am back now and it feels so good to be here again.
Well, I guess we are more busier than before with work and home, and we got more practical in life.We do not want to waste time talking and messaging strangers.Nowadays, I am more comfortable posting in forums rather than sitting and searching for people to talk to in chat rooms.Have a nice day my friend!

Chatting? in internet? no, not much i only chat with my family, friends and old classmate which we all found each other in internet again, but for chatting with someone don't know or justa to stay in internet, its not me,, i have many things to do, i have mylot to pursue if i have time and learning many things.

Im chatting only with friends now, not like when i know first time the internet, i been addicted of chatting till one day i realize that i made a mistake way for mylife so i just stop & just chatting with family member & some specially friends.

When we are new to something, we find it interesting,so is the "internet and chatting".When I was first introduced to internet and chatting,I find it very interesting since I could talk and see people from all over the world,this was a new experience for me.We need to keep a balance,else we are sure to get addicted.Happy mylotting!

I used to chat a lot years back. However, playing online games particularly MMPORG took much of my time. When I started here at myLot, things changed. I started losing interest in chatting. Of course it's different if it's with my friends and relatives that I chat with. I spent most of my spare time here at myLot. I would rather spend more time here than in the chatroom.

Chatting is interesting and worth if we find good and interesting people to have good conversations and not the ones,who will eat up your time in talking useless topics.Most of the times,it happens with me in chat sites especially in public rooms,I cannot even make out the head or tail of the conversation that is going on,all will be busy with their own topics and nobody cares to respond to anyone except some few good people.You can see people fighting,arguing and making bad comments.I truly object to this kind of behaviours in chat rooms.Good day my friend!

Sure, if you find a community that you like. People that are interesting would be interesting to chat with, yes. You can usually tell in short order too.
