i really do not think that we are related to monkeys. how is it that we evolved from the same ancestor yet the present-day monkeys are not as good as us. we have technology, science yet they still remain in the primitive age. it really make me wonder if there is even a relation between us and them. if they are, they are way too slow in evolution.

Monkey's aren't "as good as us", they are adapted for their own lifestyle. Their physiology differs from our own in ways that are practical for their environments. In evolutionary terms, they are just as good as humans (if not better, you don't see them slowly destroying the earth!)

I believe we are descended from the same common ancestor of apes, which is kind of the same thing! There is a lot of support for this theory (and a lot of people who don't really consider it theory, but fact). It's really interesting, if you are interested in knowing more about it let me know!

I wouldn't say "descended" as such. I believe we are different species entirely and always have been but share many similar physiological characteristics overall. There has always been much debate and multiple theories concerning the "Missing Link" and until such time as they are able to fill in that gap in evolution we will never really know for sure.

it depends upon your belief, some believe that God created us and some believe that we came form the Apes. But for me i strongly believe that God Created vall things here on earth.Even though its hard to explain that theory but still do believe that he's the one who made the things here.

I don't think that humans evolved from or alongside apes or any other creatures or that any other creatures evolved. There are instances where animals have changed slightly to adapt to a changing environment. But to say that a creature can change from one species to another by random mutation is just ludicrous. Mutations cause harmful effects in 99.99% of the time, often they are fatal. this is a theory that may have been plausible when a cell was still a blob. But with what we know today and since the discovery of DNA,to continue to believe this fantasy in the face of rational science borders on zealotry.

I don't understand where your argument comes from? What is the alternative "rational science" to evolution?
I'm actually asking!

I think we are a descendants of the apes. We can see that how first people came out. According to religion, first human is made by God. But according science and with logical mind, we won't sure that first human is made by God. So I think the only way the first human came out is from evolution of apes.

Hi jame and Lotters I very..........very sincerely and whole heartedly disagree with the descendants concept of the human beings from apes. May be the one who has proposed the theory of ancestral origin of human beings from apes might have evolved from so. I very strongly and firmly hold the belief that I was created unique by the creature so do my ancestors. Thanks a lot
