The media sure does a great job at plastering the American people with the politicans and Palin is no different. Quite honestly, I am already tired of her. They did the samething with Obama; bringing his numbers down. The news is satuated with these people. Time to back off alittle don't you think?

Even though I won't be voting for the McCain/Palin ticket I think that the McCain supporters should want to know more about Palin since she was unknown to the public before the VP announcment less than two weeks ago. Well unless they don't mind voting blindly.

I agree, Zeph, but I doubt the campaign is going to run the risk of her saying something incorrect or stupid...not to mention letting an interviewer delve too deeply into exactly when she said "Thanks but no thanks" to that bridge. The best way to make someone unqualified appear to be qualified is to make sure all communication goes one way only so no questions can be asked and no unscripted comments given.

Very true, I just couldn't vote not knowing. I would feel like something was being hidden. People have the right to know and the politicans not making themselves available to the press or allowing press access as well as they only ask the questions that the candidate wants asked is just craziness. We the people should demand to know. If they can't handle the hard questions they shouldn't be involved with politics, although I have to say, when the hard questions are asked that the candidates (all of them) should be able to answer the question without being interupted continously by the questioner.

You are right, McCain/Palin supporters should know who they are voting for. Well lets have her answer some questions and move on with this thing. The last few times I heard her speak, she was saying the samething she said in a previous speech, talking about the bridge to no where and putting the Governor's jet in Alaska on ebay. I want to hear about real issues affecting this country and when that happens I will listen again.

I think the media is giving us a break. For months they were pandering to Obama and chasing him all over the globe to the exclusion of McCain and his campaign. One news story I heard on BHO was that he had a cold and asked someone for a tissue at his campaign stop that day and also wouldn't shake hands with people that day so he wouldn't spread his germs.(yuk! what a story.) The media was literally saturated with Obama during those months and I am please they are putting McCain/Palin in the spotlight for a time before the election comes about. The other thing is before McCain chose Palin, most people had not even heard her name much less known anything about who she is. Everyone is mystified with her at the present because she IS a mystery and the newness will probably wear off in a few weeks when they can't find anymore topics to talk dirt about and they will go back to politics as usual. That being said, I don't think people are as tired of hearing about Palin as they are of hearing about POLITICS, but it will probably only get worse the closer we come to the election.

I think you make some interesting points. I do believe that the public wants to learn more about her, but her just reading McCain talking points in my opinion is doing her no justice or the American people. It will get worse and I cannot wait until this election is decided already.

I'm with you, I've certainly seen and heard enough of those same lines that may have been funny the first time but after hearing them several hundred times they get a bit old. However, she does need to put herself out there and grant some interviews where she can't rely on these scripted sound-bites.
I'm hoping that others have the same kind of reaction as I have and start to realize as the novelty wears off that this woman has no warmth or compassion, or at least I don't think it shines through. Of course, maybe that's because the polish has been applied so think her real self can't shine through?

Seriously, how much longer can she repeat the "Thanks but no thanks" lie, the "fired the chef" lie and the "put it on e-Bay (CLEARLY implying it sold!)" 3/4 lie? She hasn't even mastered the skill of changing her wording ever so slightly to make it seem less stale!

Thank you so much, and I am happy that you see my point. I am ready to hear what she has to say without a teleprompter feeding her the McCain camp's spin. I want to here Palin talk about the issues and what direction she thinks this country should go, how we will get there and how much money it will cost. I want to hear her talk about the issues that matter most to Americans and that is not what I have heard over the last 2 weeks or so.
