is kuwait plans to build a tower taller than the burj dubai?

i hear that kuwait will build a skyscraper taller than the burj dubai... the tower will be called burj mubarak al-kabir which will reach 1200 meters (yes you read it right). i hear this planned tower in youtube but still no ground breaking is done in kuwait city..

1200 metres??? That is one heck of a feat if they were to manage to pull this off. I remember reading about a "Sky City" to be built in China that was around 1000 metres tall but have heard nothing since so don't know what the latest is regarding that project. The Burj Dubai is currently at around 688 metres tall and I have also read about a proposed building in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia referred to as the "Mile-High Tower" that is expected to be at almost twice the height of the Burj Dubai if built as planned.

yes 1200 meters... its already in youtube... the 3d rendered design of the building and where par of the city it will be built. even though it is unbelievable to hear a building to reach this height, they will actually for sure be doing things right...
