Tattoo - Art or dirt?

It's a difficult subject. What would happen if you split from your girlfriend and started a new relationship? How would the new partner feel about someone else's name burned onto your body. Maybe you feel secure in your love and feel it could never happen but what if?

thats a hard one but i figure the person that gets the tattoo has to see it as art. i see some as art and some as unnecessary. i like seeing things that have meaning to the person not just something because it looks cool. i think that kills the whole idea of a tattoo. i think a tattoo is supposed to represent your ideas and be a form of expression. i could respect a man with his children's names on him or maybe a picture of something that really means something to him like my friend rob who got a circle with a feather (thats a bad description, i promise you its prettier than that) and around it it says the word create in different languages. the guy is an actor and believes in creating for the world. i could not respect a man who got a two girls one cup tattoo on him.

is a subjective thing, not many would do a tattoo, many people having so many tattoo. for me is an art if done tastefully, must not be too big "for example, those that cover his back" the name of my girlfriend....only if I were sure to 1000% her and his feelings.
