I have posted discussions and maybe received one or two responses. Then the next day or so I will see someone with the same theme for the discussion, maybe the title is worded differently and they will have lots and lots of responses. Has this happened to you? Could it be that their friends are helping them out by responding?
I would be curious to see how many responses I will get on this discussion. I just find it strange, and am wondering what could I be possibly doing wrong.

I can't suggest you anything as you are having 10 star rating(I am just a novice;may be a good player later).But there is no such issue.You can't say there is some cheating going on!It might be just a matter of luck,that someone's interested in your tpic but couldn't see it, next day some other one posts and he see that.I can't say that there is something going wrong.

I have seen so many similar topics and different wording and yes some get a lot response while some just few! I think it comes on timing and title and how many friends they have. To be honest I'm not sure if this happen to me and I am also curious about this and it will be good to know the reason. Thanks.

Thanks for the response. Like the other respondant said, it is probably timing, I do most of my posting in the morning when I first get up. Since there are so many time zones on here, timing could be the answer.

It can be frustrating. There have been 2 times when my discussion got 25 or 30 responses. Then there will be a lull when maybe you get one response. So sometimes you can't even expect that your friends will respond. I gets really frustrating when you think you've posted something that will get a lot of responses only to be let down. Oh well, you just have to keep on keeping on.

It happens to me sometimes too. I think it has a lot to do with who is online when you post it plus your friends list. I have not been getting a lot of responses from my friends lately because apparently myLot is not sending notifications to them. I have had several complain about it.

Yes, I think it happens to many people. I believe there are a number of factors that determine the amount of responses a question gets and one of those factors is how active your 'friends' are. It may also be due to the timing of the post - some times appear to be busier than others,- or in which category the discussion is posted. I suppose the phrasing of the post will also have some bearing. There are a large number of discussions which are posted over & over but still get many responses because the myLot community is constantly changing so some members will not have seen the topic before.

Thanks for responding, I was just curious as what other Mylotter's thought about this. I have a lot of friends, but I do not usually get responses from them. i will always scroll my friends list to see if there is something there that grabs my attention. Maybe that is my problem, my discussions are not grabbing anyone's attention.

Sometimes you can't really avoid that there's the same discussions posted im sure someone didn't do it intentionally, it might just happen, im sure no one is cheating here. Maybe you posted your discussion in a wrong time, and maybe he/she have lots of friends to reply to that discussions.happy myloting!
