They are indeed annoying if you watch the channels where they have very long commercials. I prefer watching the movie channels where there are no commercial breaks except for the channel ID portion or in between movies. Howedver, some people who have to watch something on a channel with so many adverts, look at the positive side by making use of the commercial breaks for a chance to do something like going to the bathroom or some other tasks while waiting for the show to resume. Why don't you try that so you won't be so frustrated with the adverts.

I don't like tv adverts generally as a rule, but I have to admit, some of them are becoming a lot funnier now. What is annoying about the adverts though is the fact that when you are watching something you really enjoy, you are really concentrating on the programme, and all of a sudden the adverts start and you lose your concentration for a bit. Do you remember the PG Tips adverts? I used to really like those! Andrew

Yeah it's indeed annoying, but what can we do. The boob tube was meant to be free, and TV stations get their income from sponsor's adverts. But then came cable, we pay for cable, and yet I don't know in some other countries, but here in my country even the adverts show up sometimes. What gives? Happy MyLotting!

Yes, I find them annoying too. I wonder if why so many people find them annoying the networks keep doing it.
