what happens to those who have never heard of jesus christ?

Who is Jesus Christ, anyway?

They are spared all the dogma & propaganda of organized religion? They lead a good life because they know right from wrong, rather than because they fear going to hell?

They will be treated as babies.

It is difficult to say and not for us to say either, those who have never heard of the gospel. But those who have heard or had the full opportunity to come to know Jesus Christ but have consciously refused to believe, the Christian believe is that they will be lost forever. In my opinion, God will have special mercy for those who never got the opportunity to get to know him in a personal way.But again, even in that, salvation will be through no other name in heaven or earth but Jesus Christ.

They will be able to live a life of freedom and true love.

Nothing will happen. Jesus is the leader of Christian religion. Non-Christians may or may not know about him. Situation would be so based on their religion.

The end results will be the same for all those who have heard of him and not heard of him, whether they chose Him as their Saviour or not. Following Jesus Christ means leading a life of love and compassion and whoever does it gets the same benefit no matter in whose name he does it.
